Our game is currently in an Alpha development phase; this means you are playing the very latest build of the game while we are concurrently developing the game. There are going to be issues with various portions of the game that we are actively working to complete. There may be parts of the game that are not currently up to the standards that you would see in a finished product, but we are not a finished product yet.

We have a team of technical experts who can help troubleshoot the game with you.

We've recently released 2.6 to the Live server and 2.6.1 is coming in the next few days. In 2.6, we added new features, the most prominent of which is Star Marine. If you haven't had the chance to play yet, please take some time and play through the newest release and latest videos before making your decision.

What the gently caress does it mean by "team of technical experts", if anything? If questioned, will they just refer to the loving issue council, or is there a crack team of bugfixers available for the refund request population?

Pretty much just Pilot/gunner/snub fighter. They said "we just want to get these roles working and in the game, other roles may come later". So anyone with dreams of being Forward Toilet Scrubber First Class will have to wait.

And their poo poo game doesn't even have toilets added in the ships yet. They're like 2-3 years behind Star Citizen on the development curve. They'll clearly have to refactor all the ships to add toilets in the future which is a lot of rework. Good luck getting that done before Star Citizen 3.0 ships in March.

You really think Croberts spent $80mil motion capturing A-list actors and didn't have them record the most important animation of all? Prepare to be immersed.

They glossed over it but there was a sort of revelation that "gunner" is more like "tactical" since they can take control of the utility modules and limpets, use any type of scanner in any direction, have two extra single-module fire groups meant for utilities but which work for anything and of course manage a power pip (which was already known).

I doubt we'll see more "roles" but I bet "gunner" will get expanded on with various other features over time based on that.

Think not of ED "Gunner" role like in ~~ww2~~ SC turret slave but more in term of the second seat in a attack helo, F14 or Tornado. Its a mix of gunner, EW, radar ops and ordonance specialist. You dont man each turret, you have a 3rd person view with a complete hud and the turret follow what you aim at around the ship.

Also all rewards are now shared equally among wings and crew (if a mission pay 50k, everyone onboard get 50k), so no need to split hair over the money.
