The previous times I tried, I discovered that if anaconda has a working network connection but can't access the repos because of a captive portal, it'll just install a system with no packages at all that doesn't boot

but, uh, where i work at you'd be writing software to run on a linux. not on the desktop! seriously cool embedded system (the coolest poo poo ive worked on in my life tbh), but still, at the end of the day, a linux.
