Yeah, it should be fully supported through Steam. I tried a couple dozen games in December with the DS4 and it worked well on properly supported games, which mania will be. Release date is rumored to be either the 25th or 30th of april, but we won't know likely til March the 16th.

When you say "supported through steam" does that mean it'll work for all steam games, or that steam will act as a driver and allow it to work with any program on your computer?

I have quite a few games that don't work with controllers unless they're Xbox controllers. However, there is software out there which makes PS4 controllers work like Xbox ones.

The Wii U Pro controller and probably the Switch Pro are the best PC controllers. Nothing beats that dpad.

I'm 100% confident I'll be using the DS4 for mania on steam, though might have to figure out how to rebind it to the dpad, which I couldn't get CD to do. But I have no patience.

I bought the wii u pro controller as soon as I read it has a ~28 hour battery life (it does. I platinum trophy'd the wonderful 101 on it and never had to recharge it). I never once even considered trying to plug it into my pc tho.
