Roman should've been treated like a ronin. He's a heavy without direction. Keeping the Shield outfit plays into that, but you can't do that and also make him The Guy who can make it all by himself. Weirdly enough I think Roman would've been better for Baron Corbin's gimmick than Baron is. Make him the grumpy tough guy who doesn't have a focus anymore so he just kinda steamrolls whoever's in the way.

In my opinion the best way to rehabilitate reigns would be to sit him down for a ride-along esq. session with two or three writers and have them spend a couple weeks hashing out Who the gently caress is roman reigns. Give the guy opinions about things and try and get him to stick to them. Let people be able to make predictions about what Roman Reigns will do that aren't just "What would be the most depressing outcome" and "What would be embarrassingly hilarious for him to say".

Like that's the thing. He isn't a bad worker at all. He is trained very well to work the wwe style match. I just don't think he has any good spots or interesting offense. Nothing in his move set has any real personality. He isn't proficient in any specific style. He is just a guy who can work a solid match.
