Placing 2 runners on and seeing which team has the better bunter is a bad way to decide it.

Hmmm, Ned Yost is warming to this rule after thinking about things.

imo if you're going to do this rule, it should be runners at first and second with one already away. That way you can still sac bunt the runners over if you really want to but you still need an actual hit to win.

Or a suicide squeeze

Manfred thinks that intentional walks were slowing down the game and the shift was ruining offense, and with this rule we now we get a bunt, followed by an IBB, and then someone trying to hit a sac fly.

Fun and exciting, good job, Rob!

Seeing Yadier Molina get pumped up so often in the WBC has been pretty awesome. He seems intense in regular season games but I don't feel like we've seen this level of emotion from him normally?

That would require the WBC to be moved to mid summer as most places would be pretty darn cold.

On the one hand, Yadi is super proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and he's always shined in the spotlight. Give him a playoff atmosphere and he tends to step it up a notch. He's a career .326 hitter in the LCS and .328 in the World Series. He's tied with Albert Pujols at #7 for career postseason hits at 90. On the other, he's also just a super-expressive guy, for good or bad. Some examples of Fun Yadi, Angry Yadi and just for nostalgia's sake, Playoff Yadi:

In short, the Cards should extend him because :allears:Yadi:allears:

He's not allowed to because of Cardinal fans.

So apparently Josh Zeid signed a deal with the Cardinals (I assume minor league), and Ernesto Freiri is currently in camp with the Yankees looking to nab a bullpen job.

Looks like the teams are actually scouting the results in the WBC games, which is pretty cool.
