Finally watched Untucked and I'm upset Gaga can't be a weekly judge. That was the gold standard of constructive criticism. If she ever decides she's done with full-time performing I hope she becomes a critic on the regular. When Kimora told Eureka she wanted her to be her Drag Mom that was the cutest thing. This is the first season in a while where the top three aren't totally evident. My initial guess would be Nina, Eureka, and Peppermint, but I think that's more they stand out to me personally. It's not like say Bob or Sharon who from the get-go were beyond the rest.

I'm upset that Gaga isn't teaching macroeconomics or something at my local university. She's just so smart and empathetic and nice; the horrible exploitative music industry does not deserve her. Having no clear favorite is sort of great, esp after season upon season of being steered towards a Winnah. This is going to be a good one.

There weren't any clear front runners in season 7. Even when we got to the final 3, people were rooting that Ru would do an upset and crown Katya instead. But this season, there are no clear front runners because everyone seems so amazing. This seems like an incredibly talented group of queens. Edit: There were a ton of articles today talking about the backlash against Wendy Williams hosting the commercial break show, especially considering her history of transphobia and dislike of drag queens in general. Even while watching VH1's "Fierce Fridays", while I was glad that Ross Matthews was there. But, I was puzzled to as why Wendy was there, I had no idea who the other lady was, and it seemed like the majority of the audience was straight women. You can apparently watch it on VH1's website if you say you're an XFinity subscriber and link it to your Social Media account. That's all the verification they ask for.... If you're in the UK it's on Netflix and on Stan in Australia.

Does anyone have any idea when the VH1 app or website will put up the full episodes? I work Friday nights so can't view it live online and actually have a cable login so I SHOULD be able to watch the full episode later, but they've yet to put up last Friday's episode. Last year Logo had them available online the next day.

Jaymes should definitely have won that lipsync. What did Kimora even do, besides swaying around a little? I understand Ru thought Jaymes wasn't up for the competition, but I reeeeaaaaalllly hope Kimora is going to be kicked off next week, because her edit this episode implies either that or an irritating villain role, and the latter would be awful imo.

Even Jaymes's white look, which was very good, couldn't compete with the other girls who all had great or excellent looks. She was always gonna be a half-step behind That lip sync could have gone either way. I don't feel like either of them gave a big enough performance, if that makes any sense. Love Shack is the ultimate karaoke song alongside Don't Stop Believin' and it should be performed with all the abandon of a drunk uncle at a wedding. In the end, Jaymes took off her shoes like a drunk aunt at a wedding and I think that should explicitly be against the rules. So I'll consider that the tiebreaker. Kimora is Gia Gunn 2.0 and I suspect will last about as long.

Aw, Jaymes.  That was expected, at least, so it was easier to go down. I agree with Ross that she hasn't fully realized her character yet, hope she's gonna do better outside of Drag Race.I also got somewhat of a bully vibe from Alexis this ep. It felt like she was trying to subtly pressure Jaymes into giving up her role? I haven't seen anyone else talking about it though so I dunno if I'm just projecting or what. Also, Valenntiiinnaaaaaa.  She's quickly becoming my favorite, she's polished and lovable and poised, the total package. I'm totally rooting for her now. I also feel she's very smart in her runway choices, as if she's trying not just to put together a look, but a look that will really sell on the show's catwalk. The bridal headdress she wears this ep shimmers beautifully under the spotlights and really gives an impact. The Gaga look last ep also pops against the backdrop.

Jaymes should have won that. Did a great job of getting in front of Kimora and resigning her stage moves to the back row. Solid tactics. Plus Kimora did finger-guns on "bang bang, on the door baby", I'd have sent her home for that.

Yeah, count me in as surprised that Kimora stayed over Jaymes. Neither did justice to the song but at least Jaymes looked like she was actually having fun with it. And  at that entire messy cheerleading segment. I don't know if it was just the way it was shot or the choreo itself but the whole thing was weirdly confusing to watch.Valentina continues to be the best though

I am furious that no one, on this whole, loving, stacked-rear end- B-52s panel, made a reference to Trinity looking like she came from Planet Claire. I don't know why but I really fuckin like Trinity and I want her to get at least a good rear end villain edit. She is exactly my ratio of trash:pageant without knowing it and I'm super awake for it. I want to see her keep shading and serving face. Don't make me regret this post you panhandle bitch. (I am aware that Orlando is not in the panhandle) Nina seems pretty untouchable. I love her so much. I was a little sad they cut away to gaga right as she was like "and that was my lowest point, when I decided to finally-" ""YAASSSSSS BITCH GAGA YAASSS" weird timing. Like I get that there isn't an ideal time to bust Lady loving Gaga in but you'd think they'd keep the camera rolling for Tearful Moments and wrap up before she was ready to make an entrance. Valentina fuuuucking rules and I am here for her in a huge way. Farrah will probably get Miss Congeniality unless Cucu snatches it again (so glad she's back), I really love how sweet Farrah is. Just having a supremely friendly and complementary fish queen is always fantastic. She seems super sure of herself, but I'm still furious she didn't reveal that second Alejandro outfit though. She looks so fucken good in latex. Shea Coulee continues to bring things that I like around. Pepper's wig line was hosed in the gaga look but she continues to be beautiful as hell and an all around sweetheart. Alexis, Charlie, Aja, and Sasha are kind of blending into a gradient for me, from basic to art in that order. I like them all a lot (especially Sasha) but they haven't had much star time, either onstage or in talking heads. Also chalk me up as a crazy person that thinks Aja is cute as hell out of drag. Crustpunx Eureka I still like as an Ursula the sea witch but can we please stop giving the funny big queen villain edits? She seems chill enough to not have to go there. Charlie as motherbird to Jaymes in the gaga episode was amazing, more of that please. Also GAGA as mother to ALL QUEENS EVERYWHERE MORE OF THAT PLEASE. National Treasure. I seem to have forgotten to mention Kimora. Seem to have. Hey, also, is Carson Kressley out? I liked him but I prefer Ross obviously so like, win either way. Please show Ross Matthews on my TV all of the time. Also, that was a VERY easy song (although very non-draggy hetero), and they both should be a little ashamed at how bad their lip sync was. the frequent cutaways are a dead giveaway that the editors had basically nothing to work with. Jaymes seems sweet but girl you outclassed. I think I'm the only person in the universe that likes Kimora's look. Her lip sync was super low energy though, matched only by Jaymes who basically did the sleepytimes beddybye gag again.

A couple of things. That was the most boring LSFYL I've ever watched. That song was utterly wasted on them. Valentina had the most gorgeous smile and beautiful teeth I have ever seen. I love her.

holy gently caress Valentina is turning it out, gorgeous in and out of drag, 110% confident and a total sweetheart. extremely latinx and LA, I love her standouts so far for me are Nina and Valentina the Jaymes edit was brutal but she really seemed totally overwhelmed, it would have been cool to have a redemption / mentoring story with Jaymes and Charlie or one of the more seasoned queens but I'm fine with the elimination. Kimora needs to go next, serious villain edit but also one of the weakest queens imo

Also here for all the Valentina love. Dear loving god, she has charisma just pouring out of every single orifice on her body. She is so gorgeous and charming, and her interview look is straight out of Paris is Burning. Her whole shtick, on anyone else it would come across as tired and forced. But on her, it works. It loving works.

I didn't go into this season thinking I would love Valentina, but she has won me over with her style and the way she carries herself. One of the strongest queens with one of the sweetest hearts. I love that she has the Virgin of Guadeloupe candle. Can she win the season and Miss Congeniality?
