I'll say this for Z-Nation, poo poo actually moves fairly fast. They essentially did the Alexandria arc in one episode, the CDC arc in one, and I'll say again, has a LOT more cute dog That lives in an NSA station in the North Pole (or some poo poo) with ample supplies and so is totally safe from danger :3. And hell, zombies are an inherently dumb premise after a point. Z-Nation has fun with the premise that TWD only let itself have early on before it started taking itself way too seriously. Hell Z-Nation has like 1/10th of the budget but it's so silly that the low budget aspects can actually be kind of endearing, and more forgivable than the alternative (90% of the episode being people sweating at each other). In short, watch both we both know you've got nothing better to do or you wouldn't be watching TWD in the first place

I watched some of Z-nation. So-so. Not something I want to stick with long term. Actually more serious than I thought it would be going in.

No one is saying Z Nation is Breaking Bad, but it's a fun show with campy elements. And the most important thing is you actually care for the crew you follow, because it's clear they're having a blast. Also poo poo happens every episode, that's another big difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXZzpAqRltI Barreft fucked around with this message at 00:29 on Apr 14, 2017 |

They never do anything inventive in TWD at all with Z's now, the only highlight I remember in two series was them having metal poured on them and spikes. If TWD somehow took some of the fight scenes, for instance, or sets from Z-nation and used them instead of [generic woods] [inside a warehouse] [Alexandria] and [green screen garbage dump], I'm pretty sure it would be heralded as the best thing ever ever to happen to the series. While doing a rewatch of the finale it occurred to me, How did Sasha know about oceanside? Neegan has a mac10...with a long range scope...mounted to a suppressor. jesus christ, cannot make heads ot tales of the word salad maggie was spewing at the end oft the ep. The ep is even worse rewatching, knowing how it pans out. Fog Tripper fucked around with this message at 20:30 on Apr 14, 2017 |

There's actually way more to it than that from what I understand; a clusterfuck behind the scenes that almost got aborted. The whole thing is a shame. I watched the movie they did later on youtube and while I could tell they rushed a ton of stuff and had to drop a bunch of plots, they definitely had a vision for the series and where it was going had it not been canceled I think. Also I am 99.99% sure that the cliffhanger ending would have been a psychic vision if the gap hadn't happened. While the whole thing went down she was blind and screwed up from psychic visions, so it'd made perfect sense. Tenzarin posted:I was talking about Tremors The TV show, please calm down. I've heard over and over this show was way better than it had any right to be but everyone assumed it'd suck (including me) so nobody ever started watching it. ED: Oh yeah the show that made me say gently caress SCI-FI was when they took GvsE from the USA network, one of the funniest loving black comedies I'd seen in a while, and turned it into a serious "ultra cool action drama" that just suuuuucked. The fact they renamed it "Good Versus Evil" was a big warning sign as to how much they absolutely did not get it (and thought their audiences were too stupid to get it too). I wish more shows attempted to get someone to renounce their deals with the devil by trying to beat the poo poo out of them, and losing. Didn't the show come at a really bad time after a couple of the dumber movies? As a casual observer at the time you had the first movie come out. Then the sequel a few years later which was cheesy but good. Then the third movie which was dumb as poo poo with the "rear end blasters" and the remaining actors that still needed a check. Then the fourth movie which was just like the wild west or something? By the time the show came out I was checked out completely.

I gave up watching this weekly at the mid-season break, and saved the remainder to binge at a later date. Having now caught up I wish I had instead just mashed my hand in a door and considered the horror in that. Whoever thought every scene had to be "two people sit 2 feet away and speak in laboured stage whispers" needs to be shot, and have their eulogy delivered in the same way. What a crock of poo poo this has become. There's maybe 2 episodes of content in the whole loving series.

Sasha had no reason to know about trashies betrayal, and therefore no reason to be killing herself to buy 2 seconds reprieve. For all she knew Negan was walking into a situation where he was significantly outgunned, and should have been planning to use that to escape.

Sasha, the lady who was established as being suicidal, got talked out of committing suicide in favor of a suicidally attempting to kill the man who killed the man she loved, failed, and then committed suicide? I dunno dude, I don't think that's a plot hole

The laboured point was she wanted it to mean something (save Alexandria / her friends). Honestly I can't remember whether we see her explicitly aware of the trashies deal, but she should have known about it at the time, as well as the fact Alexandria was armed.
