The Business Costco near me has these, and while I have the freezer space I could never eat that much lamb.

$4.99 for a perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken is pretty loving amazing, i buy 1 or 2 every time i go, pull all the meat off and make soup/curry/tacos/whatever with it then save the bones for stock

mine has a stand up cold case with two sides, both full of cheese. cabot black wax cheddar brick, big wedges of parm reg, delice de bourgogne, manchego and others are on one side and the other side is utility cheeses like feta crumbles and sliced swiss

Ok so I'm trying to justify the cost of just owning up and buying my own drat membership. The thing is, meat and cheeses and produce are great but it's just me and my wife and even supermarket produce has a tendency to go bad because we wait too long. So I'm trying to compile a list of non-perishables that justify the membership cost. So far I've got:

-Frozen veggies & chicken for stir fries
-Paper towels/TP/Kitchen wipes
-Bar and hand soap
-Laundry detergent
-Those microwave veggie bowls
-Olive oil

Any other major items worth stocking up on?

Get a chest freezer and buy your meat at Costco. Your membership pays for itself right there.

Any footwear other than dress
Athleticwear
If you eat any granola/snack bars ever, a box is worth it. We take over a year to go through a single box, but that's 10% of the membership in savings right there.
Vanilla extract (real Madagascar poo poo for like 20% the price of buying the little bottles in the supermarket)
Beer for parties (if you ever go/host)
Holiday gifts for coworkers/grab bag parties/whatever
Bedding

Gasoline is like $0.10-$0.30 cents per gallon cheaper, depending on where your Costco is at. Then double down with the Costco Credit Card for an additional 4% cash back.

You still have to consider quality though. Costco may not be the cheapest poo poo tier model ever like Walmart/BB, but their models/things are often higher end so you really get much better bang for the buck. also the god drat best return policy. Best Yuy return policy was pretty lovely

there are still legit times when the exact same sku/model is cheaper elsewhere for sure

Also, sometimes it's nice not to have to wade through a pile of brands/models when you can just buy the single one that is in Costco.

are they the real poo poo? to they squeak when you chew them? I was in switzerland years ago and we hiked up a mountain to visit a family that lives way up in a high saddle of the alps with no running water or electricity. they make cheese which they trade to the village below in exchange for money and supplies, all of which is transported on a ridiculous pulley system that goes all the way down the side of the mountain. we ate some of their cheese curds and they were the best gd curds of my life

That's mostly hit and miss. The squeakiness comes from how fresh they are or how much moisture was left in them. I actually drove to the Tillamook, Oregon cheese place and they had the squeaks, but it was at the factory. I'm sure Mars Cheese Castle here would have some good ones but I don't know how fresh they will be after a few days. They'll still be great but not amazing. When it comes to the curds I don't discriminate. I regulate....... the amount of cheese I can fit in my mouth at one time.

Protip: Cut the top off a Kirkland brie, microwave for two minuites, instant cheesy dip for triscuits or crackers.

No bowl needed, the flour shell makes it's own container.

I'm in eastern pennsylvania. I always considered my region "lame rear end suburbs", I didn't know we registered a significant muslim population to have a specific halal section when other people don't.

Anyway, there were two fewer lambs today than yesterday so I guess they are selling? Probably to old PA dutch people who love buying in bulk to "save money" and have like six freezer chests full of meat at home already.
