Guys, find a woman who looks at you the way GhostStalker looks at every bald, obese, single 58 year old accountant from Tulsa who managed to win $4,000 by not wagering on a Final Jeopardy triple stumper.

Welp, unless I can magic up 20 loveca by tomorrow evening, looks like the first step up pull for 30 is the only one I'll be able to take of the Maki box. But what a pull it was:

4 SRs? I'll take it, even if not getting any URs pains me. That Maid Maki is my new partner, even if her idolized form isn't all that nice looking compared to the unidolized form.

Thank you 400k G from the login bonus today to help power that idolization. 40k Friend Points coming in two days too.

That pull gave me enough blue tickets to do a SR+ pull, and got Circus Honk as a bonus.

Also popped into Kinokuniya Bryant Park this afternoon because it was Maki Day and wanted to spend some of my tax refund check, so I picked up something appropriate. Unfortunately, they're out of Muse stuff besides figmas (and they didn't even have a decent Maki one), so I had to settle for another CD instead:

Was originally gonna get Kimetayo Hand in Hand/Daisuki Dattara Daijobu, but MIRAI Ticket called to me instead. They still had one of the former in stock, so maybe next week, I dunno.

I don't really want to do the math, but 70k points to unlock the entire event story in bang dream seems excessive. That's like, 70-ish plays (I get 1300/go). I'm pretty sure that even if you were playing on hard or normal it wouldn't take the whole 25 plays to unlock the whole story in imas.

It sounds like a lot when you put it that way but it doesn't really feel like it when I'm getting the 150k points for the new card. I dunno. Though, I'm normally getting 1600+ once I'm powerful enough for the green room.

Ah, this time I didn't clear enough for the middle room, but also I certainly haven't ginned up enough points for any event's 3star. It just seems like a shitton of points, which is impressive since I never actually know how many points I have unless I go out of my way to check the ranking. But even without actually paying attention to the points, everything seems to require entirely too many. Maybe that's just a result of the "three goes at a time" thing?

It's less than the number of plays you have to put into SS if you want the second card (at least, for 20,000 points, the rankings are looking low this event). Maybe it just feels less bad to me because you can play once every half hour so I can just play whenever I have a moment, unlike SS where I have to wait 95 minutes for each play.

I love the thing where you join a room but somehow you're not even there yourself. Actually on this occasion it just stayed like this until I quit the app because the back button didn't even work.

I think having someone on hand to make sushi, or even just having a live tuna laying about, at two am is a sign your life is pretty alright. Assuming you like sushi, and don't just like, live in a hatchery or something.

Is it? I feel like playing twice a day or so is enough to get 20k, but I haven't like, kept a log or anything. I'm glad this is a nice low-pressure event, maybe my half-assing it will still end up in the 60k tier.

Also yeah, their netcode really doesn't handle people dropping (for whatever reason) very well. Although I think it only really falls apart when the "host" drops. That makes enough sense if you're using the private room function, but it's really not working great for the open multiplayer.

As a total aside, I am super glad I found that the "previous votes" button in deresute's voting page lets you vote for stuff again. That's way faster than scrolling all the way through the list.

Went to Kinokuniya today. Great store but all the LL stuff was pretty much blind buy. I could pay those prices for keychains and stuff if I knew what I was getting. Was hoping for Strawberry Trapper but they didn't have it. Still got a couple $4 blind buy folders or something and will open them later.

Oh, that sounds like a button I need to find.

Actually I forgot SS still has the 2x button when I was thinking about numbers, they're fairly close when you take that into account. In SS at 2x, 73 plays will get you 3869 points+7738 tokens, then you need to play the event song 12 (4x)+1 (2x)+1 (1x) 14 times to get the additional 16320 points.

If you're averaging 1600 points in BD (getting into the middle room is virtually a requirement for this) you'll need 94 plays to get to 150,000. Maybe the top room makes it even easier, I haven't had the power to be in there except for a brief period in the first event, where the issue was ranking, not scoring.

It's the yellow one with the envelopes going into a box. It's on the main page and the upper right of the solo/group song select.

Hm, I don't use the 2x, because I'd rather have the double points, even if it does mean tapping at my phone a bit longer.

I've been splitting my song votes in SS between Syoko's and Nana's songs, not because I think they need to be rerecorded, but because I'm hoping that one of them will win and whoever wins the general election has to cover them. :v:

Ah, that's what I was working off originally. Now you're scoring 166-equivalent points per play instead of 279 so you have to play 122 times for 6466 points, then 10+2+1=13 event song plays for a further 13760 points.

Does that include the daily bonus?
Either way, I don't quite get it, because it feels like playing the event song 25x (so, 75 regular songs worth) places you at (or over) 20k. But mathematically (even without being lazy and using 50pt/song and 300/event song) it's like 10k short.

It probably works out fine if some of those 25 plays are 4x though.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that too. 108 regular plays plus 11 (4x)+1 (1x) event plays, in that case.

But yeah I don't do single event song plays unless I really really want the 30-play star jewels.

:O I can't believe you'd leave those stars unclaimed!

Well, I guess it also helps that there haven't really been too many songs I've actually hated to play.

Plus if we're comparing to bang dream, it's nice to actually hear the event song from time to time. :v:

Man, bang dream has a million little fiddly ways to boost your team. I actually used some of my millions of gold making chocolate coronets more powerful.

Polsy
Mar 23, 2007

tbh it's more a matter of free time than not wanting free star jewels. Playing song for 3 minutes instead of 12 definitely adds up.

I'm not sure I've even heard the new bang dream song, there's only like 5 songs that people pick most of the time so any time I get something different I'm not sure if it's the new song or just something that never gets picked.

Zenostein
Aug 16, 2008

:h::h::h:Alhamdulillah-chan:h::h::h:
That's probably it: I'm more inclined to sit down and play these for a bit, rather than the mobile game play for a few minutes here and there thing.

In the last event I was stuck in the open lobby ghetto, and I think people are a) less inclined to drop if they see something they don't like in the player list (or the selected song), and b) more likely to pick different things. I even heard the phantom thief song once last event!

That said, I did actually just play this event's song on my own and it's not that exciting.

I did see that "are you alright? wanna rub my tits" meme as someone's name though. That was kinda funny; sadly someone disconnected before I could get a screenshot.

Polsy
Mar 23, 2007

Oh, the daily free tokens are 300, I guessed it was 150 because I stopped paying attention to the exact number. It's a smaller number of plays than I said earlier, then.

I caught up on the first 3 eps of ogmas for the stream! I'm enjoying it so far. I'd thought I'd watched the first ep back in the day, but nothing struck me as familiar, so either I forgot everything or misremembered.

The intro ep and the promo photos ep were fun, with some good character interactions, but the third was boring. Yukiho was boring, and the producer was boring. I have my doubts that P will get much in the way of characterization, but an episode focusing on his interactions with one idol really would have worked better after we knew who he was, I think. Yukiho was probably a lost cause for me, as I've little patience for the shy girl archetype when it's this over-the-top and not played mostly for comedy. Also the performance was really dull. Almost no animation. There was still good background stuff in the ep, though, like Hibiki playing with animals and Takane eating.

So far, Iori, Hibiki, Takane, and Miki (who is way different than I expected) are my faves. Also Kotori, who I didn't realize wasn't one of the idols until she was left behind in episode 3. That's a bunch of bullshit!
