i unironically liked the first two worlds because of how insane it made the open world ARPG formula, in addition to all of the memey stuff. i couldn't get into two worlds 2, though. just something about it.

The only thing I know about Two Worlds II is that the speedrun record is 2 minutes long

the speedrun for the first one abuses a glitch where any time the end boss entity dies in the game it triggers the end cutscene. you can meet the end boss within a minute of gameplay, aggro him, and then get the invincible townsfolk to kill him off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NeR-bT3uv0

2 was the real oblivion killer cause you could do all kinds of stupid bullshit like taking a waterwalking and speedboost potion and running across the ocean at 200mph to skip having to get a boat

I've never actually played a TW game, but I've thought about it often enough, during Steam sales. Do you know if the graphical and gameplay enhancements, etc. will be available for the base game content, or only for the new expansion region(s)? Sounds interesting either way - I might need to check TW2 out, when this comes out. (Unless TW1 is still worth playing, first?)

if you can find two worlds one for under 5 bucks, i say go for it. it's janky, but there's a legit fun ARPG sitting under the jankiness. you can also laugh at the loving ridiculous voice acting, story, character models, filler text... idk, worth putting at least a few hours into imo.
