You are correct. Tour, on which they will play the entirety of Somewhere In The Between each night (plus some other stuff). I was... kind of expecting something more out of the ordinary? Not entirely sure why they are doing it with the album that came out in 2007, either, but hey, I like that album.

We’re coming up on 4 years since The Hands That Thieve, this is the longest they’ve gone without releasing some kind of new album.

SKA SUCKS
Speaking of 10 year old albums, I just got my tickets to see Big D and the Kids Table play the entire Strictly Rude album in Baltimore, should be a good time.

I can definitely see how she was better 15 years ago, but gently caress you if you don't think Monique Powell doesn't still have it. Also the bass player is a loving boss. The show was cool, but they didn't play Spam. The new stuff sounded okay also.

But

I want to talk about my new favorite band because a) they have a great name and b) move over Laura Stevenson and Michele Nolan, I have a new music crush.

The 2nd opener was these guys called Rude Boy George and they were p rad but they've got this girl on sax who is fuckin great. If you asked me to make my perfect woman in a laboratory, she'd be someone who plays bari sax and can bust out a dope solo during a cover of Close To Me

Her voice was shot from the very beginning of the set. It was pretty rough.

I also believe that I'm Not Crying For You and Spam were on the setlist as a second encore, which they did not do.

I meant more as just a frontwoman in general. I thought she did the best with what she had left, was definitely getting a Bonnie Tyler vibe from what she had going vocally.

Haven't heard them mentioned, but Thank You Scientist is a cool and good band that basically sounds like if Claudio from Coheed & Cambria was the singer for Resignation-era Rx Bandits:

Save Ferris were the first American ska band I was ever aware of because I was huge into Dexys Midnight Runners and they obviously had their cover of "Come On Eileen".

To me, ska was the Specials and the Selecter and Madness (and I suppose I was at least aware of Prince Buster and the Skatalites then) so it didn't even occur to me that Save Ferris could be a ska band. Looking back, I think they're more of a cross between a swing revival band and a pop-punk band.

Awww gently caress, same goes with Apple Music. Can't even buy the albums on iTunes.

Tomas is buying the masters thought right? So I'd imagine eventually they will be back for streaming? I don't know how that stuff works.
