Memento posted:Is that what they badger you with every time you log into the site? I only go there these days from links from this thread, but it seems like every time I do, I get "Hey you downloaded this more realistic weather mod for Skyrim in 2012, please endorse it before going to your content". Seems like if I didn't endorse it then (and it was half a decade, two children and a career change ago, gently caress no I don't remember it) then I'm not going to now. It's really more a "Do you want to 'Endorse' this mod, or maybe not right now but probably Endorse later?", it feels like. And risking hurting the modders' fragile egos is discouraged with the mod ban system. Of course, that leads to the loophole of just never saying anything about mods and downloading them. Which led to gunnetwork madness.

I just find it hilarious that "They'll troll mod authors with well-reasoned and coherent opinions about why their mods only deserve 4 out of 5 stars!" was apparently the reason for implementing it. How else are you going to know you're getting the absolute best dead-eyed waifu follower for your buggy yet overwhelmingly popular Bethesda game?

Does darkone not know that literally the entire point of 1-5 star ratings is subjectivity? Like, does he go on Yelp and go "Well that's not four-star worthy, the taste of the food is subjective!" when reading through reviews of restaurants?

Please don't troll with your 3-star reviews and constructive criticism about how the chips were a little soggy but the meal was otherwise fine. That's the worst kind of trolling and we don't want that here . I feel so dirty now.
