I've seen a bunch of people complain how "you shouldn't get what you want just by crying", but I thought this was a really sweet gesture from everyone involved and that little kid got an experience he's not going to forget in his lifetime.

Also, you know, a little kid getting worried that the driver he liked got into a car wreck seems perfectly reasonable. For all he knew the guy got hurt.

This is a good point, although in this case it doesn't really apply because the contact in the first corner was very minor and R�ikk�nen kept driving for about half a lap before he stopped the car due to broken front suspension (of course the article doesn't mention any of this). I doubt the kid thought anyone got hurt, he was just upset because his favorite driver retired from the race before it even really started.

Abyssinians are the best. Like, I love basically all cats, but Abbies are at the absolute top of my hierarchy. I've never met one that was anything other than super friendly and amazingly smart. I had an Abyssinian mix from when I was 7 to 18, and through move after move after school change after school change, he'd always be there as my best bud.
