The only shows I've gone to have been in other venues (House of Blues and the like), I feel like an intruder going to a gay bar, even though 100% of my gay friends say it would be fine I think it's likely that even having that feeling means I'm one of "the good ones" and would probably be welcomed (or at least unobtrusive), but alas

About the elimination: how heartbreaking... I hope that they put her on AS3... Wow. I can't wait for Untucked tomorrow. it's the season of the lip-sync disappointments, I guess. I was taken so aback when they stopped the performance omg... I love to be moved by this show :') But I'm still sad about Dear Valentina! About the winners: I LOVED the winning team. Their conceit was hilarious, they performed beautifully, and they wrote a funny script.  They killed it!

Sasha and Shea win a bunch of hair care products (  ).Alexis throws her team under the bus and  on the runway to the judges about the challenge.Runway look is Club Kid Couture. Trinity is nervous because she's never done club kid couture before, but slays the look. Nina and Valentina have to LSFYL. Valentina is wearing a small face mask as part of her look. Judges are like "Is she gonna take the mask off?"" once the lip-syncing starts. RuPaul actually stops the LSFYL to ask Valentina to remove the mask. "This is a lip-sync and we need to see your lips." Valentina is all "I'd rather keep the mask on." Reluctantly removes the mask to give the most lack-luster lip-sync since Penny Tration's "Party in the USA." Nina dances and lip-syncs the song very well. Valentina goes home, much to everyone- Ru, Michelle, Carson and the other judges'- surprise.

 I'm glad I got wind of the rumours early so I had time to be at peace with this horrible turn of events. Still, what an iconic way to go out. Peppermint is my next in line fave, although she seems more like a lock-in for miss congeniality than winner at this point. Loved her look tonight.

gently caress. FUUUUUUUUUCK. There's almost nothing to say. I knew right as they were putting the groups together Valentina was going to get shafted and have to lip sync. I was hoping, based on the video y'all posted here, that she'd be good enough to put on a show. But wow. WOW. That sucked beyond the telling of it. She was my favorite this season. Hopefully Shea or Sasha takes it....and to have her lose to loving NINA, the drag queen whose personality checked out 2 episodes ago? REALLY?!

I have to say, RuPaul thanking Michelle for laughing at her joke had me rolling. And again, Alexis is blaming other people and being utterly unremarkable on the runway. I really love Trinity admitting that she's not comfortable with the club kid thing, but totally embracing it. She looked amazing. But. GODDAMNIT VALENTINA I thought you were top three. I thought she'd go all the way, too, RuPaul. I guess there's always AS3. I do have to say that Nina lip syncing with her crazy skull face was pretty great though.

I'm straight-up shook. WTF. One thing I haven't seen pointed out much is that it wasn't just the lipsync, Valentina seemed very "not present" through the whole episode. Was something just up that week? Did she check out completely for some reason? Whatever the case, It's a drat waste. My already "meh" enthusiasm for this season just flatlined. (Not that there aren't great queens still remaining, but Valentina brought a spice of personality to the group that even cream of the crop Shea and Sasha don't really have, and the challenges have been kinda awful about 3/4 of the time, so that personality was sorely needed.) I'M SAD, Drag Race should not make me feel such sad feelings.

seriously Alexis should have been bottom 2 in that one along with Nina. first time Vals been anything other than great or safe, and her runway look was absolutely stronger than Alexis' mash. Val deserved to go home after that lipsynch but damnit she shouldnt have been there in the first place. HO WELL great ep, cant wait for untucked.

I feel like we're on lock for Sasha/Shea and one of Trinity or Peppermint for top three now. Alexis and Nina are just way too flawed and carrying way too much baggage from a storytelling perspective at this point.

Valentina's Untucked exit is making me tear up but at the same time I'm loving the OTT emotional drama of it all. Feels appropriate. See you on All-stars 3, girl. not practicing more for the lipsync is pretty  though. AV club had a good point that her falling apart like this is the first time we've seen her drag inexperience really show

I think she let the cult of Valentina get to her own head. She's been slaying week after week, she has a killer personality, so when she was presented with a challenge that she wasn't comfortable with, she thought she would just coast by this week. But. Gurl. There's 3 episodes left before the finale. This is the time to BRING IT. You don't just take a week off. Not learning the words is one thing. Hiding your face behind a mask is criminal. But then having the audacity to still try and cover your mouth with your arms after you've specifically been told that we needed to see your mouth during a lip sync. She had to go.

^ I mean, that's not really the narrative I'm seeing? The narrative I'm seeing even from Valentina diehards is "that was fair, but like...what happened?" With Untucked for context now, it seems like Valentina just ran out of gas this week. After killing it week after week up to this point, it seems like her brain just stopped and she didn't have it in her to participate, she was mentally somewhere else but didn't ask for help or anything to push through the funk. It makes sense, it's just really disappointing. Definitely a limitation enhanced by being so inexperienced. I kinda just wanna skip to the final four now though, just give Alexis and Nina the boot already, I'm getting season seven flashbacks in terms of bad challenges and cast imbalance.
