Its loving painful. This guy from Liverpool is really really bad and the BBC news guy is just pandering him obviously on air.

The BBC is now referring to him as having said he was 'blown twenty or thirty feet out the doors' which I think is an embellishment on even what he was claiming.

Guy phoning in to the news says he was blown twenty or thirty feet by the explosion.

I mean I get that obviously it's hard to judge these things, but surely you'd be dead. Or at least not carrying on a casual phone conversation.

Ah, perhaps I didn't explain it well enough. When you're Tories you're allowed to starve and kill as many people as you want until the next Labour government because of tough decisions you're having to make because of the previous Labour government. And when things get better under the next Labour government it's because of the strong and stable economy you left them.

Not really. The bomb squad have got to clear the area before they can actually find out what exploded and why.

The one consistent thing I've heard is that whatever went down happened in the foyer which makes sense because everybody from the arena proper has just said they heard something

I mean, it's pretty much confirmed that it is an explosion of whatever origin. Not this nonsense about a balloon bursting near a mic or whatever.

But that's the only concrete observation so far.

When a bomb blew up outside the football ground in Paris they said it was a bomb attack straight away. I get that they might not know what happened immediately, but you'd have to guess they'd say it was a bomb by now. I mean it probably is, but its just strange that the official statements are so vague. They clearly have no idea wtf it was at this point.

Surely worth noting presence of armed officers and bomb disposal may simply be precautionary if they don't know what's happened.

If it was an attack then it seems like an odd concert to target. Also, to add to the tragedy to the poor fatalities, and their families, May will be all over this to show 'strong and stable'

If it is an attack, and the Tories come up with banning notepad++ to combat the terrorists, they will be called strong and decisive.

If it is an electrical explosion, and Labour come up with infrastructure investment to prevent another one, they will be accused of politicizing the tragedy.

Blowing up kids is probably one of the more shocking uses of bombs in terrorism, tbh. I don't know what people are complaining about, I think the British media restraint from saying stuff like "BROWN PEOPLE BLOWING US UP AGAIN" is fairly decent of them. That said, this is probably more down to the counter-terrorism people shutting down news updates to the media. I wonder if this is a new response tactic or something.
