Enola Gay-For-Pay posted:I cannot parse this at all. Egg yolks somehow carved into patterns? Some kind of berry aspic floating in a pan of water? What is the stuff to the left? I am so confused and upset right now. They're momiji raspberries, which I would guess are golden or yellow raspberries in English. And yes, they're floating in aspic. For some reason.

It was like a giant thing of snot but as chewy as gristle, and also tasted bad. In my opinion conch is only good fried or in a chowder and definitely not raw.

You used to be able to buy, at any Asian grocery store, these little jelly things that were golf-ball-sized single-serve container of jello with a single chunk of fruit suspended inside. I used to buy them in bulk in high school and they were great. But they disappeared from the shelves some number of years ago, and it turned out that it was because Americans were choking on them because after swallowing the things whole instead of chewing. Fuckin

You can still find them in some Asian groceries and you can also find them sometimes on Amazon. Just search for coconut jelly cups.

I was cooking an egg a few days ago so I put the pan into the flame and added some butter and cracked the egg onto it. However the egg was fertilized so when I cracked it I had an unborn little chick in the middle of my pan sizzling and it has me so freaked out that eggs make me lose my appetite so quickly. Should of take a picture but I was so shocked that all I wanted to do was throw it away so I no longer had to look at it. I think this is the price you pay for farm fresh eggs...

So the UK has taken to using "corn" in the American sense, i.e. maize (as opposed to a generic term for any grain)?
