Boner's Law - The only way to serve for less time as a PM than Bonar Law is if you thoroughly gently caress yourself for no reason.

Seems like whenever a group of leftists get second place there's a ton of cheering even though the right is still in power Hillary Clinton won the popular vote at least, Labour lost the popular vote and is still out of power

LinYutang posted:Seems like whenever a group of leftists get second place there's a ton of cheering even though the right is still in power I don't think you actually understand how the British system works. For one thing, the Democrats are now essentially a fringe party with two factions vying for power. On the other hand, Labour actually took enough power from the Conservatives to break their majority and have a slim chance of actually getting Corbyn in Number 10, if they play their cards right. Corbyn has also beat all expectations and united the party behind his vision.

I don't think anyone seriously thinks that Labour can form a government. Conservatives lost their majority but still have enough power to push through their agenda. Theresa May is still in power, which was supposed to be the major silver lining from the affair. I also suspect that there's a bit too much being put on Corbyn instead of things like multiple terrorist attacks
