Since we've got a new thread, here's the link to the RiffTrax Best of the Worst Fan Poll.

It's going to be open until 11:59 PM EST on May 21.

The response this year has been great, with almost 4 times more than last year's edition!

Keep 'em coming guys!

I've been pretty hypercritical of anyone doing riffs that weren't the main guys, but drat I have to say Bridget and Mary Jo knock it out of the park every drat time. Cat Women of the Moon and the Amazing Mr X are awesome, and so far all of their shorts have been great. I really enjoy The Snob, they really hammer how hosed up it is that the movie is trying to say that "being yourself is bad".

Hello! I see you.

I'm watching the Harry Potter films again, and for some reason I actually liked the Order of the Phoenix riff with all its dumb sex jokes and "wand is a euphemism for penis" stuff this time around. Maybe turning 30 has caused my sense of humor to regress even further down to middle school level. :downs: Or maybe I was just in a better mood than I was the last time I saw this.

Friend got me that for Christmas one year based entirely on seeing the cover. He was right to do so because the movie is amazing. I would've suggested it as a good Rifftrax target, but there's probably too much nudity.

Similarly, I'd love to see them do Kill Squad ("12 fists. 12 feet. 24 reasons to die."), but it's probably far too repetitive.

I would suggest looking at anything Bridget and Mary Jo have done because they focus almost entirely on "women" shorts. So they get stuff like "Home of the Future" which takes place in the far off year of 1999 and stars Wink Martindale or Duties of a Secretary about a secretary who is about to start her new job and has a dream where she does everything wrong.

These are both great suggestions! Their short Life in the Suburbs is a lot of fun, it's basically a giant ad for Redbook magazine.

Is Perc! Pop! Sprinkle! too recent? It gave us "Toaster Movements."

Some of the early shorts were really bizarre. Patriotism or Drugs Are Like That, for example.

I guess it depends on the kind of bizarre. There's 'what were the writers thinking' bizarre, but there's also 'why was this made' bizarre.

Join Hands, Let's Go fits the latter, if that's what you're looking for.

The suggestions so far are pretty solid. Here are a few more.

At Your Fingertips, Grass is obligatory.

Ghost Rider is about a ghost of a girl who died in a bus crash lecturing a boy on proper bus safety. Then the bus almost drives off a cliff.

Zlateh the goat has a kid drinking goat milk from the source.

The shorts One Turkey, Two Turkey; and Monkey See have interesting musical numbers. I'd go with Monkey See personally.

More Dangerous than Dynamite is weird to modern sensibilities where we don't wash clothes with gasoline.

Paper and I, This is Hormel, and Three Magic Words are demented in their own ways. I don't know how you'd choose from the three of them.

Edit: Come to think of it, you could go with three shorter lists. A top 10 "Why was this made?" list, and top 10 "What were the writers thinking?" list, and top 10 "WTF!" list. For example, This is Hormel and The Domestic Behavior of Pigs are definitely "WTF" but it's easy to tell why they were made and what the writers were thinking.

When it comes to Bridget and Mary Jo shorts, it's hard to narrow things down. Maybe consider adding The Relaxed Wife + Consuming Women and Flash that Smile to a list? The former is a drug advertisement, the latter is about dancing your way to proper dental hygiene.

I love Creep Machine, as it really goofy short film. Also has a kid who hangs their Ronald McDonald doll on the wall.

Library World and County Fair are also other favories along with Curiosity Cares A Lot.
