She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

Far Cry 5's subtitle should be The Phantom Pain, you have a dog buddy that tags enemies and retrieves items for you, and the gameplay trailer even describes one of your allies as "a quiet sniper"

Hey, are you listening to a word I'm saying?
I get the Skyrim fatigue, but I sure did enjoy it when it came out. I think my lack of interest in buying it a second time is because I've played it for dozens of hours and can't see myself ever touching it without tons of mods again. Otherwise I still get the urge to fire it up now and then.

Tried this with TLG to no avail, figured I'd give this a go with Nier: Automata

I finally got to the last play through and am going to try to power it through here fast. Thought about making a mailing list for people that want to play it. Say, you can have the game for two weeks? Then you have to mail it to the next person on the list? I'd get it started of course

Skyrim is the worst game I spent 150 hours playing. Still it's ancient at this point so I get why a lot of people are "ok we get it, more Skyrim, but what about the next thing."

My experience of trying to get back into Elder Scrolls games that I've stopped playing by coming back to them with mods has been "well, I guess that's a cool addition, but it's still just Skyrim" and uninstalling.

yeah its so weird that people would make fun of the horse armor company that finally got some traction with paid mods in one of the two games they keep trying to sell people on. and sell community made mods for real money. and started a program to sell more community made mods for their seven year old game

I dont really have a horse in the console race. That said, I identify primarily as a PS4 guy. That said, that said... I felt like E3 I would most likely have a biased edge towards Sony. That said, that said, that said.. I felt it was pretty boring.

I was not disappointed anywhere... more just like, "Yep, that's a game. I will play it."

sony will have a good year in 2018 is about all I can take away from their e3 press conference. the 2nd/3rd party stuff has been way more exciting on the whole for me since the the only new 1st party game I can think of that was announced was metroid prime 4. unless I'm forgetting something from microsoft anyway

tho nintendo is the only one that convinced me to buy a console of the 3 (I don't need an xbox and they've not sold me on upgrading to the pro, but the switch is something I feel will be worth the money)

The last guardian was one of the best games of 2016 (?). if you are a normal human being who has ever owned a pet of the cat or dog type, and played through the entire game, slowly earning trico's trust until the finale, there is no better ending to a game and it genuinely almost made shed an actual human tear.

Yeah the controls might not be super sharp but you're controlling a clumsy kid, and the animation is top notch. If you actually pay attention to trico you can pretty much always understand what it's thinking, and people who complain about the AI not instantly doing what you want it to have obviously never owned and felt the love of an actual living pet.

Loved my dog. The ending was really nothing special, aside from the almost comical amount of brutality inflicted on Trico himself.
