Alternatively you can buy the game and it's the very first thing they say when you turn it on.

recently picked up Thumper for Switch to see what all the fuss is about. goddamn wish I picked this up sooner, what a batshit game. I actually was getting antsy thinking the Final Boss was the end of the game. Then I realized this was just world 1 of 9 and there are still new mechanics being introduced.

Enjoy yourself, it's a rush.

Note that it has a weird difficulty curve since the beats per measure of each song's music is determined by the level's number. This means levels 5 and 7 are probably the hardest because of how bizarre the music gets.

I love all 3 of the Castlevania games. GBA really had a fantastic library when it came to both Metroid/Castlevanias, and strategy RPGS (FFTA, Knight of Lodis)

Had to pretty much play it directly under a light. Looked great on the SP or on an emulator of some variety though.

Then they went alllll the way in the other direction with Harmony of Dissonance and the game is like some neon thingy so it would look better on the original GBA without the backlight and it looks weird on other systems

It's a great game. I kind of wish the story mode had more meat to it but getting to re-do those two hours of content over and over with different rulesets and graphical styles makes up for it.

the running theme i've noticed with unreal is that i generally have a good time with any map that isn't designed by myscha the sled dog

every map generally has a decent flow and isn't too hard to navigate, with even sunspire having a pretty simple rule to follow of just always looking for the next path higher up, but every map this dude designed has been the worst, most loving confusing and samey-looking garbage

I really liked the maps that tried to be a real huge place with the critical path threaded through it, but yeah, they can be a little much without any kind of navigation assistance. Bluff Eversmoking is still great though.
