I figured it was Hannity but couldn't remember and didn't remember where I saw it.

How consistently lovely are you that people can just guess it was you that said something hosed up?

Also Trevor Noah is decent on TDS and I really enjoy a lot of his segments but Jon Lebowitz was definitely the Michael Jordan of that show type. Though it did take him several years to really hit his stride.

They're pretty much hardmode defendants though. They almost all have clean records, have previous experience testifying in court, and it's 50/50 on whether any given person is generically sympathetic to them.

Add that the only recording of the events leading up to the shooting was the cruiser dash cam, and there was a lot of space there for a competent lawyer to create reasonable doubt.

Yeah it was a joke about Trump. Trump went on a tirade about how Stewart is ashamed of his Jewish heritage or some poo poo because he doesn't go by Lebowitz.

They also played the "He had THC in his system so was acting erratically!" card. The cop's defense was basically that he was scared. I don't understand how "I'm afraid of black people so acted irrationally' continues to be a valid defense.

A cop may only be convicted of murder if the murder takes place on video and in the presence of no less than five (5) registered notaries.

I think racism in the US is shown properly with the Oklahoma frat situation.

Bunch of frat bros were singing a racist chant that included the n-word a bunch (and maybe even referenced hanging black people but i don't remember 100%) and a black Oklahoma football player lost his poo poo went off about it on a Snapchat. You know, how you would probably expect ANY black person to feel.

First person to apologize for the whole thing?

The black football player.

America has a wee little bit of history with it's law enforcement being openly and brazenly a part of racial segregation and suppression efforts. Those who work forces also burning crosses and all.

I've read there have been white supremacy organizations purposefully infiltrating law enforcement positions as well. I'm kinda torn if that's a vast conspiracy with a stated goal being worked toward or just that personality wanting to do what it enjoys.

If you change 'purposefully infiltrating' to something covering the fractional Ben diagram overlap between white supremists, people who wanna be John Wayne and shoot someone but aren't racist, and the type of people who aspire to be law enforcement you'll go from dumb conspiracy theory to statistical correlation to the American police force
