I was remote-controlling this poor schmuck's car so that he smashed into walls every couple of blocks, laughing like a maniac the whole way. Then he finally got fed up with my poo poo, got out of his car with grenade launcher trained on me...and then his car exploded and killed him.

These attacks can combo into each other. Mark Cerny has said that he was inspired by Fist of the North Star when thinking about combat. I was enjoying Nier from the start, but finding it something I could only play for a little bit at a time before drifting back to something lighter for a longer session -- GTA at first, MLB 17 since I just picked it up. But I went back at it for a while today and I gotta say I've never seen a game squeeze as much personality into a simple fetch quest like N:A accomplishes with "Stamp Collecting".

That's really the beauty of WD2 though, in that it'll really let you get away with quite a few things you mightn't have thought. Hell, it's entirely possible to do most infiltration missions using just the Jumper and Quadcopter with Marcus following outside in the bushes/alleyway (save anything requiring Marcus to actually go somewhere, of course).

I didn't do the DLC until I had hit NG++ and so Kos is a nightmare to fight. I put Bloodborne down for a long, long time when I had finally gotten him down to low health, I had basically no health remaining, and in the combo I was doing I ran out of stamina with 1 attack left to kill him and watched in dismay as Kos murdered me. It was beyond disheartening.

Kos does not do anywhere near that much damage. Kos took me something around 6 tries to beat my first time. The loran darkbeast in the premade depth 5 loran chalice took me 40.

I can't tell if all these posts about Knack II shifting from a lovely Crash Bandicoot/Jak & Daxter clone to some kind of edgelord story focused game with a weirdly in-depth combat system are just a meme I missed or if Mark Cerny is just like a next level game design genius or what.rabidsquid posted:the surrender cobra? Okay, I have a weird rear end PS4 issue and don't know the best place to ask. I have two controllers and the R1 trigger on one controller will not work when playing X Com 2, yet the other controller works fine. The weird rear end part is that the R1 on the "broken" controller works perfectly fine on every other game I have. And I don't mean kinda fine, it has zero issues on everything but X Com. I just can't wrap my head around how the game could even differentiate between identical controllers, and I can't wrap my head around a controller that is only "broken" for this one game. Does anybody have a clue what the gently caress is up with that?

Looks like Ubisoft actually answered the question already;quote:Q: Does SKULL & BONES include a single player campaign? I came to the realization today that I may have been playing hzd wrong this whole time. I'd been at it 26 hours and only just caught up with the first person who gave me some proper plot nuggets in the city and at around 30h when I got to faro. Around then I got loving sick of how slow it all was, dropped it to easy and started bitching to my friend about how long and slow it is. Apparently on normal he beat the game in a little over 20 hours and I feel like the story is only just this second actually getting moving. Madness. I guess I don't know how to play it. Does everyone just run past every combat encounter and never fight outside missions? poo poo I can't even see how that would help, I run by everything I think I can unless I feel like I don't have a choice. I don't understand why it's taken me so long. I'm so loving over it and the politics of tribes with made up names and nonsense beliefs is doing nothing for me. I want to hear about what happened to the old world and it's drop feeding painfully slow. cubicle gangster fucked around with this message at 06:43 on Jun 18, 2017 |

It took me 25 hours to get to meridian. I've been playing 29 hours and my stats says 32% complete. How much more story is there after getting to the faro offices? cubicle gangster fucked around with this message at 06:48 on Jun 18, 2017 |

That is quite slow. The game gives you lots to do, but don't do the stuff that's boring? I didn't really skip combat, but combat is pretty quick, once you get the hang of it. Since you just got to Meridian, I'm guessing you don't have good weapons yet? You're like, I dunno maybe a quarter of the way into the story?

lol i spent 75 hours getting the plat (an easy one by everyone's account) but I'm sure like 10 of that was idling and I play games like 50% slower than everyone else If you don't want to fight something just run, you don't need to grind anything

Its super easy to get sidetracked doing open world poo poo, collecting everything and maxing out your bags. If it becomes tiresome, bang out some more story. i got into the same rut trying to complete clear nora lands.

I finished the game in about 60 hours, I want to say. I didn't plat, but pretty high completion. I would guess over 90%. I just didn't care enough to go get the power cells.
