I know that gbs is cool, good and very with it so I thought I'd ask because it sounds dumb as hell and really irritating but one sign of getting old is thinking that the younger generation's slang is stupid. Just trying to figure out if I am too cool or if I need to start tucking my stomach into my underwear.

Fam is a stupid thing to say. The problem with it (besides it sounding loving ridiculous) is there is absolutely no situation where saying it sounds natural, so everyone who says it just sounds like they're forcing it in to sound cool. Note that I am definitely getting old.
