Do logitech have a rule where like every 3rd mouse they make, they have to pick the number for it out of a tombola? Bit disappointed there's still nothing to update the G700 to a mouse with a battery life > 2 days, and putting the 7 moniker on another mouse might just be a death sentence for it (see: G600). Then again I've mostly retired mine and switched to one of those weird vertical mice to help with some wrist pain I'd been having.

Ill chime in to say Logitech customer service has been the only stand out experience I've ever had. Once I asked if I could buy a single keycap from them and they said they'd rather send me an entire brand new set. Another time I had a G700s that was many years old with no receipt that they just replaced on the spot, that wasn't that long ago. Neither time did I ask for that.

If anyone has a mouse with a knurled surface where your fingers rest and also suffer from the same issue I had (where it picks up disgusting gunk, random poo poo, dead skin) and leaves your hand and mouse smelling funky, this is what I did to fix it: unplugged my mouse, took an old toothbrush and some isopropyl alcohol and just brushed all that disgusting stuff away. It's made a world of difference and now my fingers aren't left smelling like doritos if I use the mouse for a prolonged period of time. Knurled surfaces on a mouse is the dumbest thing ever. It adds nothing at all to it, other than a hassle and annoyance. It doesn't help me grip it better, it looks ugly. I gotta keep cleaning it though, once every couple weeks, it's a bit irritating. Any recommendations for a mouse bungee? Is a generic one from Amazon good enough?

Usually. If your cable is rubber instead of braided, it might just be getting scratched, though.

Yep, the $7 one works well. I have three. Sometimes if it's a really fat cord (ex. logitech G403) it might be a tight fit but it's cheap and IMO does the job. No need to spend more than that.

I already googled it, but a bunch of shopping stuff came up, and some uptight, dumb gamer nomenclature on the Razer website Was hoping someone could just give me a straight up answer. From what I understand, it just holds your cord out the way, but what's the point in that? Surely there's something more to it than a simple cord holding device?
|
# ? Jul 16, 2017 00:10 |
|
Nope. That's it. If you've ever used tape to hold your mouse cord in place in the old days, it's exactly like that. Except raised a bit so your cord maybe drags a little less. There's one by XTRFY that has like 4 USB ports in it but that's useless. And it's overpriced. But that's Xtrfy for you, overpriced gam3r sw4g

There are some times where your mouse cord will kink in a odd way and the tension might move your mouse / strain the cord or whatever but with a bungee you dont have to worry about that poo poo, plus you don't need to hunt down the drat roll of duct tape again.

I'm kind of bummed my old razer naga died - I looked at the new one but it doesn't seem like you can adjust size on them anymore and it is too wide. Is there anything that narrow anymore? I looked at all the Logitech ones in the store and they are wide too. I don't want to hit up eBay for a used one, but that might be the only option.

I cant figure out, from blurb or reviews if any old keyboard input follows the mouse cursor on the Logitech Flow, or whether its mouse only unless you have a compatible logitech keyboard? I use synergy anyways, but weighing up a new mouse as my logitech G5 is getting a bit tatty. Edit: With compatible keyboards only. MeKeV fucked around with this message at 12:36 on Jul 18, 2017 |

I have a very old microsoft keyboard and mouse that's wired that I've been using since approximately 2003, through 2-3 system upgrades. I'm thinking of updating a bit and getting a mouse (and maybe keyboard if it makes sense as a combo or something) with at least a forward and back button on it. I don't care to replace batteries (even long lasting, I don't want to bother since the cords don't really bother me) so what would be suggested? I'm looking at some Logitech ones on Amazon and feel like if I've gotten by with cheap garbage this long, pretty much anything else will be fine. I do play games but nothing competitive (FPS, etc).

Didn't really think about it that much since my old stuff was like $30 total. I was looking at the M500, fairly basic stuff but could do around $100 total for kb & mouse. My keyboard has some buttons that are iffy, like some are harder to press than others and there's a ton of resistance on some randomly, so it makes sense to just get another probably.

Hi thread, is $60 for a Zowie EC2-A a decent deal? Newegg's having a sale, I've heard good things about Zowie, my current mouse's scrollwheel is crapping out, but I don't know jack about mice so maybe Zowie sucks now or this is the worst Zowie mouse ever or something.

The EC2-A is one of the most beloved shapes in all of gaming mice. Zowie has QA issues and terrible warranty practices, but they're really great until they possibly break down in the usual ways (double switch clicking, mousewheel deteriorating)

I bought this mouse a few months ago and it's my favourite mouse ever. No nonsense LEDs, no drivers, hardware adjustable polling/lift off distance, perfect tracking, shape feels just right. A huge step up from the Logitech junk I had previously.

Does anyone have much experience with Corsair mice compared to say Logitech? I've been using a M65 for a while now and while I'm a fan of the shape and weight, the internals of one of the side buttons broke and now I'm not totally sure about the lifespan of their mice. (Someone else in this thread mentioned the same issue so I don't think its really a fluke) Basically I'm shopping around for mice with the same shape and general number of buttons and want to know if there are any brands with similar shaped/designed mice worth considering before i just commit to Corsair again and hope i don't run into the same issue down the line.

Amazon US and Newegg reviews will probably give a good indication of the QA. e: Holy poo poo their website is a mess. Maybe go through their catalogue on another site.

Castor and Naos 7000 are really the only ones worth considering, and they pop up for like $40 here and there through deals/massdrop. Naos QG is gimmicky and heavier but it does have a better sensor. I'd pass, as the heart rate stuff is IMO useless. I think they took the Avior out of production - that's really their only ambi design. And yes, that website design is kitsch as gently caress.

I've slowly come to hate mouse cords and rubberized coating, are there any good wireless gaming mice that are like white plastic instead of gooey black rubber that will turn into eraser shavings in a year I got big hands so something big and heavy is kinda nice, also want really good latency or whatever is the important thing for playing twitch fps es There's that rat9 thing but it's really expensive and I doubt it's the best Dutchy posted:Hi thread, is $60 for a Zowie EC2-A a decent deal? Zowie EC series has always had a white glossy counterpart to the black rubberized version, did you not know this? If you want a bigger, heavier mouse that isn't rubbery at all then look into the Logitech G900/903.

Yeah for whatever reason when I got this one I totally wasn't into the glossy white, but now I am. And also now I want zero cords since wireless mice are supposedly better than they used to be
