Why, it wouldn't be strange even if they voted bowmore suddenly.

You are only worried because you already know JJ's word

The analysis is simple:

The coalition is not anti-me. It's not even pro-bowmore. Rather, bowmore has a line, either direct or indirect, and has made some argument as to why I am the better vote over him. Naturally, without this argument at hand, I am unable to counter it.

Perhaps they were backed not with logic, but favor. Some word or another. It doesn't really matter; pittance is pittance, and a word is not a word is not a word. You could have 11, with all known positions, but if you are missing the final one then all your work is for naught.

I hope all players may chew upon these words, and know that I have animosity towards none of you but bowmore.

For record, bowmore's statement that BK already knows my word is the exact opposite of what I told him in good faith prior to our negotiations breaking down. And further, no, BK does not know my word.

MMM, if you're not tied to bowmore's chain, I would awfully appreciate a vote upon him.

Further, Somber, I would argue that changing ways would put you in my good graces should I survive.

A good question; I don't have much to offer, you see. Simply giving away my word in exchange for survival has the same end result, loss. But any future negotiations we enter into would naturally involve my good side, rather than my bad side that bowmore received.

I have nothing to offer except my word, which as I said I can't give away for free. It's literally the only thing I have in this game other than positional information, vote promises, the really basic stuff.

MMM you must be slacking on your game analysis if you haven't already identified that any number of words besides your own and all of them is worthless. You gain marginal advantage through positional testing, but even that can be exchanged.
