Mousasi is not a draw, he has zero salesmanship, I can see why they are happy for him to go if silly money is being thrown around. All WME clearly cares about is money and if you sell ppv's

If Bellator is giving him extremely stupid money (like half a million to show), then OK maybe, but if not then Mousasi is a great fighter who KO's guys, and he will be a draw if he wins a couple more fights and the belt. Relying on Rousey and McGregor levels of PPV buys is not sustainable, at some point Conor will lose a couple fights and/or retire, and then what. They need to have a roster who can put up a respectable PPV number each and every single month.

If it was up to me I'd try and combine the legitimacy of the ufc and it's matchmaking with Pride Era freak show fights and entertainment on the main card for those fighters who draw but aren't champion material. Best of both worlds.

Bellator is probably a better place for 5-10 ranked UFC guys who aren't in immediate title contention, but Viacom is going to have to stop propping them up eventually at it will be Strikeforce all over. also the UFC is a million times better for anyone who doesn't have the profile to demand half a million a fight from Coker

Mousasi leaving isn't a huge surprise. WME is trying to keep costs down wherever possible and Mousasi, while technically good, couldn't sell water in the desert, so in terms of cost-benefit, there's probably not a really good reason to shell out high money to keep him.
