This weekend, Park's facing Wagner on Saturday and Park/Son are facing Mascara/Maximo on Sunday for MDA in Monterrey. He's actually double booked on Saturday because he and Mascara are on top of a trios at a 6 PM show and the Wagner match is on an 8:15 show.

Anyone have any experience going to shows in Mexico City? I'm heading there for a week in August and want to at least get to Arena Mexico once. I see CMLL does shows on Tuesdays and Fridays. Is there any noticeable difference between the two shows? My Spanish is very limited, but from some other reading it looks fairly easy to get tickets at the box office before the show.

^^^This, assuming you're up to a 2 1/2 hour drive out to Puebla on a Monday. Vuvuzelas/airhorns are a must regardless of what Arena you're in, though.

Considering I loaded the file saying "I don't wanna watch these big boys have a slow match," I would rate this one strongly in the "very fun" category and would say it's worth your time watching at 1.5x especially: Ángel o Demonio y Ovett vs Paranoiko y Tóxico, en DTU Expo Luchas Pachuca https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiwrGNoOk30 Ángel o Demonio's comedy game is strong, that carries the whole thing for me. Check it out if you haven't watched big guys having a basic lucha brawl in a while.

I moved over the weekend and while going through all my poo poo I found a ton of ancient CD-Rs filled with wrestling, including a month's worth of 2003 CMLL TV. I've got a lot of sentimental fondness for this era of CMLL as it was the last time I got to watch the weekly shows until recent years on youtube and such. Right around this time Galaivision put Football in the sunday morning slot for a while without warning and I never got to see it again. I asked Magadan about it at a show and he said they'd be back after the summer but by then I moved to Singapore where I've been ever since. VCR's were never a thing here (went from VCD's straight to DVD's) so for the next ten years or so aside from the occasional big mask match that made it online or seeing Ricky Marvin on a NOAH dvd I only followed Lucha via results in the observer. I literally missed the entire Misticio era. It's funny as back then Shocker was being talked about as CMLL's answer to The Rock, I really expected him to be a bigger star then he ended up, same for Tarzan Boy. I saw Rayman listed on a poster recently, is this still the same dude who was Rayo Mk III/Hombre sin Nombre? Today's a good day for sprints. +Lucha finally posted a quality 11-minute match from the 5/7 show that had Park/UG on it. Actually that show had Park/UG, HijoPark/Galactar, and Angel de Oro/Rey Horuz on it, which are all matches that I posted in this thread. Maybe I'll make a playlist, that's up there for show of the year in my book. Rush is the fuckin' best. The referee does some funny stuff at the beginning and near the end when Rush is tired of Masada's poo poo he just gets so awesome.
