gameplay wise you basically just recreate an existing character with one of 5 different heights that make minor adjustments to their stats. after that it's just playing dolly dress up edit: that's how it was in 5 anyway. 3 and 4 let you pick weapons and abilities that further changed stats, and 3 had a couple unique fighting styles exclusive to the create a soul

fighter maker is rad but it's not really, like, a game, it's more of a really janky engine i'm kind of just thinking something like SF or KI or GG except you make your own fight(wo)man instead of having a premade cast to pick from, and the CaC options are actually pretty robust instead of "reskin an existing character"

Im trash at tekken 7 but eliza is fun. I want to use bryan once i get the systems more. i really feel like the one huge place they dropped the ball was training mode and a tutorial. There are lots of things that could have totally been in a small tutorial that are only inbetween fights. Training mode is a let down due to a lack of settings. i didn't even know that rage arts had variable damage based on your health till someone in a twitch stream said it. Any specific positives (assuming you got a chance to play it at evo) Character designs are pretty cool - my fav is this dude who has a meter that he needs to throw a fireball, and if you walk forward you lose meter instantly, so you have to be super lame. The "game feel" or whatever you wanna call it is pretty good. Walkspeed is pretty fast which is good because there's no dashes. You can get in and start feeling like you're doing smart things really fast. The graphics are still terrible but the game is pretty fun, I played for like 30 minutes
