Started playing Evil Within yesterday and good heavens the controls are so stiff. I died four times during the tutorial. Pretty nice, grizzly death animations though.

So does That's You suck, Play Link, aside, or is it alright? Is it worth trying to explain to my parents how to set it up? Jackbox is easy enough since you just go to the webpage.

From what I've seen, the game part of "That's You" doesn't make any sense. The points don't reward being witty or quick-thinking with your submissions like Jackbox games do, you instead get points for guessing how other people would vote on somewhat personal questions. The questions are also more about clowning on other players, so if you're cool with answering questions like "Who is most likely to make out with a stranger in a funfair" then maybe it's worthwhile.

Lady VG and I played That's You last weekend and we had quite a fun time with it. I can assume a couple playing the game would have a lot of fun like we did (or possibly argue over not knowing each other!!)

I loved it when it came out and started playing again recently and I thought it aged kind of poorly. The parkour and action feel pretty sloppy compared to some other stuff that has released in between and the vaseline smeared graphics are really distracting and make me kind of sick (this also bothered me when it came out but I had a much easier time getting over it). Also the difficulty balancing is terrible and you can't even change difficulties once you've started a game. I started a game on hard and 5 hours in I feel totally under equipped to deal with anything and didn't want to start over so I quit. Gravy Jones posted:Download list on the store website? RatHat posted:Speaking of this, how well does Superhot work with a controller? If you're talking regular Superhot, it works well. Since time moves the faster you move, analog stick movement allows you to move exactly as fast as you need it to, and you can literally take as much time as you need to slooowly ease your crosshair into position to line up a headshot, so any complaints about not being able to pull off 360 noscope headshots are invalidated by letting you take your time and plan it out. If you're talking Superhot VR, it requires motion controls.

I liked Destiny well enough. I bought it on release, having enjoyed the beta, played through and got a character to high level, found that the rest of the game wanted me to plug a microphone in and team up with people, and a game would have to be way better than destiny for me to want to plug a mic in to a console. Messed around on multiplayer a bit as well, but about half the maps weren't great, didnt have staying power for me. So I traded it in, and got a decent amount in trade. Didn't feel ripped off by it. Always said "will probably buy destiny 2 when it comes out and do the same thing again". Destiny 2 open beta is awful and has 100% put me off buying destiny 2. Actual shooting still handles well, but almost all the guns feel identical. There are about 5 guns in the beta that are basically different flavours of machine gun. What they all have in common is that they do very little damage. Anything even vaguely interesting is now a "special" weapon, and special weapon ammo seems about as common as unicorn tears. I'm usually a big fan of shotguns in shooters because I am distinctly mediocre at them, but with a shotgun you can run up and point blank kill motherfuckers. Except the "special weapon" shotgun in destiny 2 doesn't even reliably one-hit the most common enemy in the opening part of the demo. Felt like my weapons are all underlevelled even though they were the ones you were given for the fight. Not that it felt like it mattered much because you could just run forward until you found an enemy, then run backwards firing at them until they died. If it was a boss it would kill you pretty quickly but you respawn without penalty so you can just chip your way past the enemies. Art design wasnt helpful either, a lot of the firefights had the enemies more or less blending in with the background, so I was just holding fire until I couldnt see any enemy energy bars any more. I dont remember special abilities charging so slowly either, not that I remembered what any of the class abilities did anyway, and the game did not even attempt to remind me once I'd hit start. Multiplayer is now 4 vs 4, so feels like there is less room for a middle of the road player like me. Played a game with me and 3 randos vs a fireteam and got mullered, obviously, but in games I like I can enjoy a match without winning it. This wasnt fun at all. And the announcer (who is one chatty bitch for the record) called it a one sided mismatch, which felt like insult to injury, the game isnt wrong, but then I'm not the one who matched 4 randos against a party of 4. What was really annoying though was that the announcer said the match was over, so I stopped just short of the control point... only for it to turn out there was still 10 seconds on the clock. I'm guessing headshots are the key to victory because I ran up behind someone and emptied about half a plip into their back and they were fine, while their teammate hit me about 4 times and dropped me. So presumably great if you are in the 360 noscope headshot bracket, but thats never gonna be me. In the final analysis, I think I'll end up having spent more time downloading the beta than actually playing it. I read somewhere that a lot of the changes are to appeal to the esports crowd, but I gotta say if this is what esports people want then call me a casual because its put me right off the game. Its a shame too, I was in the mood for a fun shooter just now.

Alright so I don't have a PS4 (yet), but I have a psn account from when I tried PS Now. I'm trying to buy a game through the site because it's on sale right now and I want to play it when I do get a PS4. I added my card and every time I try to check out it tells me "Your purchase may not be complete. Check your transaction history in your Account settings." A google search finds a whole bunch of other people who have had this issue, and the only solution seems to be 'yeah the psn site sucks, buy it through your console'. Can I seriously just not buy the fuckin' game?
