I posted in here earlier asking about cheap tenkeyless or even smaller keyboards, but after seeing the vortex race 3 on massdrop I'm now thinking 75% would be the perfect size for me. Does anyone have suggestions for stuff in this space?

Got my Vortex doubleshot backlits and put them on. Keys definitely have a different feel. Sound more hollow/flat, better rebound, slightly textured. They feel weirdly dry. Backlighting works great. Spacebar previously had no lighting on top of key and now has a few dots which is cool. edit: also I think it doesn't let quite as much light through, but previously I had it on the lowest setting, and setting it to the highest seems to get it about where I like it. I'm looking for a TKL or 75% with cherry clear, brown or equivalent switches. I don't care about backlighting that much. A regular ESC key above `, full set of function keys, directional keys a little bit separated are what I'm after. Having PgUp/Down and so on is a bonus, but not necessary. Is the WASD Code TKL my best option (at $150, and out of stock everywhere) or are there other keyboards I should consider? I have been typing a long time but haven't invested in a good mechanical, using either mac wired/wireless from a few years back before they went to minimal travel or lovely rubber domes. I tend to type very hard, so maybe clears with an O-ring would work best? I write code, long-form documents, and occasionally play games but nothing too serious there. Apologies for the "tell me what to buy" post, but the options are kind of bewildering. I'm willing to spend some cash, but $150 seems a little high. If that's what it takes though...

The Cooler Master MasterKeys S seems like a solid TKL option. It's a refresh of the CM QuickFire Rapid with stock PBT keycaps, and is only $80. I've been using a QFR with browns and o-rings for a couple years and it's great. Thanks thread for showing me that custom keycaps are a thing; the ABS caps have gotten a bit shiny from my disgusting oily hands, and I've spent way too much time trying to justify buying new ones for more than I paid for the keyboard itself. If you're gonna type a lot and want tactile, I highly recommend a board with matias quiet click switches. KBP V80 supports it.

With the desktop market shrinking and a lot of brick and mortar PC stores going out of business, I wouldn't expect a weird resurgence of mechanical keyboards places like Best Buy, or even Target. I got into the mechanical keyboard craze back in 2010, where it was impossible to find mechanical keyboards in any store. Asking people about mechanical keyboards got you weird stares. Nowadays though, I can go into my local Best Buy and have a variety of options to play with (granted its all Razer/Logitech/Corsair). Price points went way down too. My first and only mechanical keyboard was a DAS keyboard ultimate which was like $120. Now I can nab one for $60? I ended up giving away my mechanical to a friend just because I wanted something wireless and easy to move around ( I went from a full tower ATX machine to a mITX gaming machine, so lighter weight and portability become things I focused on.). I still game and enjoy a fine ~pc gaming battlestation~, but lately my favorite keyboard has been the Logitech K480 which I got for $26.  Keeping on the theme of light and portable, this keyboard is pretty impressive given my usage. It connects to three devices through Bluetooth, and you can switch on the fly with very little delay. Right now its paired with my PC, iPad, and iPhone. Makes texting and using iOS apps infinitely less painful because touchscreen will never be as fast as a physical keyboard. Better yet, I'm able to dock my iPad on there and look at guides when playing controller-games like Dark Souls. I'm stoked with how useful this thing is. In a dream world, it would have mechanical keys. But also, the thought of a wireless Bluetooth mechanical keyboard with a dock, settings dial, and battery operation seems like something that will likely never happen, especially for less than $50. But I can dream right?

I have a mate who, due to a motorcycle accident, needs a ergonomic macro pad for his right hand so he can continue to graphic artist comfortably. Something like a logitech G13. I tried to get him into an Ergodox but he doesn't want to spend enthusiast level money. Any recommendations?

Its a bit strange to program but it can all be programmed inside the numpad with no external software so he can move from computer to computer and take it with him.

I guess related question, what do I want for a BT adapter? I've used the little micro-adapters that protrude like 1/4" from the port but I was never satisfied with range or reliability. Are there any chipsets that have better compatibility than others that I should prefer?

I'm looking to rearrange my living room gaming setup and need some wireless things. What should I look at for a wireless gaming keyboard? Cherry red or speed? I want a full size keyboard. I currently use Logitech G710+ which is fine but the wires are starting to be annoying and the browns are occasionally too slow for twitchy stuff. Also is there like a living room PC gaming thread somewhere or interest in one or an I weird?

Ok guys I need a keyboard for work that I can use to show off my fancy new keycaps No I don't speak Japanese shuttup Anyways I'd like to keep it on the sub 100$ end since these were 35$ but as long as it's got nice mechanical switches I'm just going to be pretending to program on it. I've been meaning to look into building a keyboard but I'm incredibly lazy and I'm not really sure I'm ready to become that kind of keyboard sperg yet Edit: welp guess I should have read the OP
