I've found my niche in Splattershot Pro. Now if only the people who get disconnected mid-match could get fed up with this game and shelf it, this game would be incredibly good. Like even when a disconnect leads to a win, it still doesn't feel like a good win...

Can someone make a "How to not suck at salmon run" cheat sheet? I know there is also a mother ship thing that I'll probably never see but if I can get basic strats for each boss/round it would really help me

So now that I switched to ranked, my previous days of topping the turf war charts with the aerospray are over and I'm getting wrecked. What's a good general all purpose weapon to take to ranked while I learn all the different mechanics now that I'm playing with people above the mouth breathing level?

i still think the manhole wave with the hidden goldies is a crapshoot. i have yet to be able to tell any difference between the manhole glows even though the game claims there is one

Like if you're given the Charger on a Griller round, you can help a ton going exclusively for the Griller's tongues, but you'd be hurting the team if you focused on the lil baby fish, for example. It's all pretty organic. For whatever weapon you're given, spend the first 10 seconds of warm-up thinking how it'd work well, and how it'd be wasted. This doesn't always mean offense, as the rollers are probably best keeping paths cleared for your team.

Does the ability chunk cost increase if you keep stacking the same sub ability? It's 20 chunks to add +run speed to a gear that has run speed as its main ability and 1 run speed sub ability

Do grillers get harder or something? I see everyone bitching about them but everytime they spawn they spawn with literally nothing else so they just immediately get sniped while slowly meandering near the egg basket

Only 2 weapons really require a cheat sheet and that is, charger because you are likely going to be the one tasked with killing bomb heads and other things with weakpoints in the air, and roller because you are going to be ensuring that there are safe pathways for your team to maneuver around in.

If you're playing with someone who hasn't seen them before or doesn't understand the red laser they will inevitably accidentally walk them over your entire team

So either you have different standards about what fast is or they actually do get way faster later on.

Does the Pro Controller have harder to press analog sticks? I always seem to be inadvertently using my special when just trying to swim around quickly or I'm in a firefight and it's kind of annoying. Using the joycon grip.

It also helps just having a bigger controller in your hands that you're not holding so tightly really. I didn't have that problem myself, but a Pro Controller would almost certainly stop it happening. Just make sure it's the Splatoon Pro Controller  .
