I forgot to mention but you can only unlock the level 1 versions of the hero weapons and they're only available in the store as you qualify to unlock their regular counterparts

The matchmaker seems bad, but maybe my expectations are off. Today I played ~10 games. This is my first Splatoon, and I am bad. I was matched in every single game with one particular player who was very good. I also was placed on that player's team exactly once in all these matches. This resulted in comically lopsided games -- he'd get 10+ kills and dominate the map solo. I lost every game except the one where I was matched to his team. My expectation is that the matchmaker would vary the players each match to avoid letting one player dominate another repeatedly. Or it would do a better job matching player skill levels. Eventually I just stopped playing rather than continuing to hope I'd be matched with new people. I live in a highly populated area. I doubt strongly that there was nobody else to match with. Does matchmaking become better once the game had more data about the players? Should I expect it to smooth out over time? I want to play with my fellow scrubs so we can all be awful together.

Is there really anything keeping the Octarians underground other than Octavio's machinations? The ending of the first game and Marina's entire existence seems to indicate the Inklings don't really oppose having them around.

I am starting to become ninja-like with the Octobrush. It is tremendously fun to lie in wait and ambush people in ranked. I feel like I'm really helping my team by keeping the pressure on the enemy's side of the map while they keep the zone splatted.

Do I need to have a twitter or a facebook account to make my drawing appear to other squids or is there a way around that? I mean I can see the facebook/twitter thing on the console it just seems weird that I'd need one for my drawing to appear on other switches when I already have a Nintendo account

Dry: +1 for a win, -0.5 loss Raw: +1 win, -1 loss Fresh: +1 win, -1.5 loss and I've never gotten past that to confirm anything else

I'm gonna try to stick with the motion controls, any suggestions for what sensitivity everybody sets each on to? I keep switching weapons and man some feel so bad sometimes, I got that one that fires short range blasts and it fires soo slowly I get splatted instantly.
