Knowing that music video, it's probably something advanced enough that the AI woman is sentient and more or less equivalent in mind to a real human. For anyone who doesn't know, it's the really good music video Do The Evolution. I'm not a big Pearl Jam fan but the music video really makes that song worthwhile. I think Bruce Timm was in charge of the animation. I think that clip showcases an extreme extreme example of why some people prefer their fetish to come in game-format.

We have people screaming the same but "opposite" argument saying "doom makes kids shoot up schools" every single time something bad happens, but we know that's bullshit now. Try not to do this, but if you must, they are out there. That being said, bear in mind making games still isn't even cheap for VNs (paying thousands of dollars just for the art is practically a given), they're just cheaper than making many other sorts of games. It's just the basic tools to do it with are comparatively easy and cheap.

The time that video came out everyone at school was loving Spawn. As an adult now I really want to buy some of the figurines his company makes but also I'm an adult and I think a Hellraiser statue might bug the missus a bit.

Make sure everything is pretty much done. At that point you'll have a giant list of every scene and character and CG that you'll need to outsource or come up with yourself. This allows you to have a decent idea what you can actually fit in your budget and what cost (per character, background and scene) you can afford. Shopping for artists is way easier when you realize more than half of them are going to be way outside that budget and will help narrow down your search. When you start adding artwork related costs up, you quickly realize "Hey, maybe I don't need this character? Maybe I don't need a special background for this four paragraphs?" You start cutting extraneous poo poo and saving money, to boot. Like someone before said, though, even with poo poo artwork it can cost a ton of loving money. Thousands, easy. Especially if you want any sort of animation.
