Honestly, if it's Volition's take on Crackdown, then I'd be okay with at least giving it a try. I still don't know why it isn't multiplayer though. The cynical side of me is screaming "DLC!" but I don't want to believe that.

Help Im Alive posted:That looks fun I guess Yeah, when it popped up on the Humble Bundle I thought it was a bad team shooter like LawBreakers but it's actually Saint's Row 4 + Crackdown and that's a'okay. Still seems like they're having trouble advertising what it actually is and putting out joke videos on porn sites doesn't really help the marketing imo

Agents of Mayhem sounds like the bad guys from a 90's cartoon made to sell toys. I'm sure someone has pointed this out before.

I am beginning to think I have literally zero rotational reasoning skills, as I have been stuck on the desert Divine Beast in Breath of the Wild for four hours. This may also explain why I cannot solve even a single puzzle in Stephen's Sausage Roll. I am glad that this kind of reasoning would be difficult to put on a paper standardized test, because hoo boy

I never got tired of Saints Row 4's "this incredibly lame bullshit (we know it's lame) is actually frickin radical" schtick. It wore thin in Borderlands though so I hope they don't go that far with it.

I can't believe I never heard of The Sexy Brutale until today. I've wanted a puzzle game that used Majora's Mask style time loops for years and yet this passed me by for months. Any it's amazing and people should play it.

I also love these, I don't know what you would call them, "voyeur games" like Ghost Trick where you watch events unfold and manipulate them? I was the kid who unironically liked Night Trap and Double Switch.

I'm really enjoying Shadow Tactics but some of these badges/optional objectives seem loving nuts. I spend 50 minutes meticulously plotting movements and executing guards and now you want me to do it in 5:30? I like that they seem designed to encourage multiple replays of each stage, and some are obviously designed to plan your whole run around getting (only kill while disguised/don't wear any disguises) but the time limits all look impossible at first glance. I'm sure with practice I can get it down, and I'll be reminded of racing through the MGSV: Ground Zeroes missions, it's just that the first time through I can spend minutes just watching three guards move around a small space while figuring out to use my tools to kill them. It gives the old bean a proper squeeze and I'm really digging it.

I'm reflecting on how disappointed I am by Pillars of Eternity - I'd heard that it was generic/vanilla, but I somehow got the impression that the protagonist would be a kind of God who comes into their own, with the final levels being really high concept and cool or something. Instead nope. They can see ghosts. Great. That's exciting. Never seen that before. Especially with this bland execution. And worse, I'm playing it and Path of Exile at the same time, which has grimdark fantasy New Zealand in a really interesting plot - laidback, so I don't have to pay too much attention, and the lore is fun to read. Basically they're both fantasy games but one is clearly better than the other (imo) and welp.
