By the way, if you're the last one alive in Salmon Run and are about to die, throw a Splat Bomb in a dead ally's direction. A wave can't end early until all Splat Bombs go off. You can also end up saving a seemingly hopeless round with the Bomb Rush special that way.

Holy poo poo the splatbrella owns for splat zones, especially on these maps. You can get the sprinkler up above the zone on both maps, and the special is great for controlling the zones. Also the brella is great defensively in general, it's so good at keeping enemies from pushing in. Fun things the shield can block: Ink jet bullets Splash downs Pretty much every bomb It might even block the baller explosion, I haven't tried yet. It's super great at holding a position!

I did a bit of impromptu and extremely unscientific testing with how Object Shredder interacts with the Brella shield. Without Shredder, it took four (!!!) full Charger shots to take out the shield. With Shredder, it only took two. Double damage against the Brella shield seems pretty nice, but there's no telling whether people will keep using the Brella or not, and even if they do, you can always lob a grenade or a bucket full of ink over it instead.

I am always lost on how to use the bomb rush special in Salmon Run since it seems to get overwhelmed easily in the Oveachiever and Profreshional levels with it.

I got two Superbonuses today, and they were four ability chunks each. I can't decide if that sucks or not. Then again, being able to assign a specific sub-ability is really good so it's no wonder they make it very difficult

Its really fun mastering the spacing with blaster and just dunking on the tri slosher / brush brigade. So many times they go ham right into a trap and they just flail around uselessly until they breath theyre last.

Blaster is Juuuust the right space to go in close in a pinch but keep people out and bait them. Its a satisfying weapon but my far my favorite maneuver is making people think Im in a bad situation, then using the splash down and then firing in the direction they ran to, killing them instantly with the blaster's damage radius.

First boss in the first round, at low tide, was a steel eel. I was in the perfect position to kill it with my splatling but the guy it was chasing lead it over the top of me so he could get some hits in yeah the round didn't go well

Also when you're taking eggs back to the basket you can totally afford to toss a bomb at your feet to blow up salmons chasing you. If you aren't making liberal use of bombs then you aren't playing very well. Especially with the charger where bombs are much easier to use and better at clearing out the trash salmon.
