I'm just fundamentally repulsed by the idea of an open world game where you're steadily herded into a smaller and smaller area, while simultaneously recognizing that it's absolutely necessary for the game to work.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a word salad title but anything is better than PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS so you can take solace in that. I just wish the new Doom had actually been named DO4M for real.

I felt it was supposed to sound like a special operation name like Zero Dark Thirty and that idea fit the game's themes nicely in my mind.

in oddium's pubg everyone starts with a 4x kar and a shotgun, there are no other weapons, ammo and armor drops are still there, the circle is constantly shrinking and doesn't move faster than the player can run
