I like how the NL rumble of the last Smackdown game to allow 8 people in the ring at a time also had people enter every ten seconds and still there was never a point where more than six wrestlers were in the ring because eliminations were happening so fast.

I like the one near the end of the stream with the weird head glitch ('08?) where the match was literally nothing but everyone throwing each other over the ropes and doing the struggle animations.

I realize that sounds like drat near all the WWE games post-HCTP, but it was real bad in that one. The N64 rumbles under Aztec Warfare rules were way more entertaining.

Another new feature added, meant to enhance both gameplay and story, is the notion of the quick pin - the idea that one player can land a schoolboy roll-up or a crucifix-style leverage pin, ending a bout quickly, just like the matches on TV sometimes. To aid this, there are now 12 different new match interference scenarios - from run-ins to walk-ins to just entrance music blaring - that will create a targeted distraction and open up a quick pin window. After the bell, the loser, still with full energy, will then have the option of beating down whoever it was that just scored the "fluke win."

wow how exciting

MP3 support is a massive gray area so this didn't surprise me. We're lucky we even get the opportunity to do it--you can't do that in WWE2K games without extreme fuckery.

Next version will have a Theme Music Database in order to make assigning themes easier. No more copying downloaded wrestlers to their own edit...

The only drawback, wrestlers with the same name will use the same theme. So you can't have 3 versions of Kobashi all entering to period appropriate themes. It won't be added, don't ask...deal with the limitation, or don't use the mod.

This version includes two new things:
* The ability to change the color/size/transparency of both name parts on the entrance plate.
* The Theme Music Database.

THEME MUSIC DATABASE INSTRUCTIONS:
In order to use the database you need to alt-tab out of the game and find the Theme Music Database window within the PWGR window. Once you've located this window you're ready to start assigning themes to wrestlers. To do this follow the following instructions.

1) Click Add beneath the theme database list. This will add a new generic entry to the database.
2) Select this new entry
3) From the dropdown box to the right of the list select the edit wrestler that this theme info will be applied to.
4) The database entry will update automatically to reflect that change.
5) Hit the Set Theme button and select the theme in the open file dialog that opens up.
6) If the theme file exists it will be displayed in the textbox corresponding to the wrestler's theme.
7) When you start a match with that wrestler, the new theme will be used when they walk to the ring.
8) When the game closes, the database will automatically save.

If they let you turn on pinning and submitting during rumbles (like they do in some of the very old games) they would be x100 more fun.

The new filtering options on Fire Pro make things WAY easier. They've really cleaned up some of the UI there.

Also good to see that Ukemi bug fixed- that may have explained why a few of my wrestlers who relied more on it were doing badly. Like I can't say for sure, but the matches play out at least as good as ever. Also I think I saw a bit more use of top-rope stuff and trying to pin from there, which is something that came up in the stream.

Not that I know of. The best thing to do would be to unsubscribe from any collections, start from scratch and only subscribe to individual wrestlers.

These collections are ports from older Fire Pro games.

There are some saying that the footage in those videos is downgraded from what what seen at whatever event they were originally shown at, but who the gently caress knows, that sounds like the same excuses people make every year. Commentary is just as bad as it always has been, just with new voices. There is a video talking about the Royal Rumble floating around that says it was changed to be much more fast and wild with people able to be thrown out from all sorts of moves and if that is true I'm pretty happy about it. If they make the Universe mode enjoyable to work with and interesting over long periods of play I'll be stoked.

That said, right now it looks like 2K17 with a few things changed. Same as it ever was.

You can't, unfortunately; Steam only tracks what individual items you're subscribed to, not the collections themselves. Best workaround is to hit Favorite on any collections you subscribe to, because then you can go to the workshop, select "Your favorites" in the Your Files pulldown, then hit Collections and it'll show you every collection you've favorited, and you can Unsubscribe All from the collection's page.
