So I just got the maximum Wanted Level or whatever it's called while re-taking a legion outpost, and instead of one of those tough robot minibosses showing up Hammersmith showed up to fight me instead. I had no idea that was even a thing that could happen! Also Legion re-taking control of areas without any notification is the worst, stupidest design decision because you lose all the collected income from Relic's stores when it happens  e: and way WAY too quick. Took out the outpost in the southwest, got the relic business there, went to the outpost in the northeast, got the relic business there, and the southwest was already retaken  Aphrodite posted:And what gives Intel for global conflict stuff? The cars that only say they need 1 schematic are plot unlocks. So you can unlock both APCs, the attrazione, etc. But can't unlock the big pickup truck, or mongoose you see Legion agents driving until the plot just hands you one.

This is an alright, fun game, but the animation is just loving awful, and the writing keeps trying to be funny, but it just ends up falling flat on its face most of the time. When the jokes are funny, they're pretty drat funny, but for every good joke there's five lovely jokes. The game keeps opening plot lines for all its characters, while only resolving about a fourth of them, probably leaving room for future DLC missions. Speaking of characters, you'll see characters like Kingpin, a charismatic gang lord who helped bring the gangs of Stilwater together and successfully fended off Legion when they invaded, or you'll get stupid loving characters like Red Card, a German soccer fan that beat up some legion at a soccer game. I also hate Gremlin, she talks like a twelve year old and never shuts the gently caress up, kinda like this game. The combat is pretty fun once you realize it's trying to be Crackdown more than Saints Row, but there's so much frustrating "What killed me" and "Holy gently caress this turret/tanktrooper instantly depletes my health and takes like three minutes to kill on the recommended difficulty" moments. The bosses just loving suck to fight, they're either a complete joke or they instantly take a character down to their last breath in one hit. Would I say get this game? Maybe when the GOTY edition comes out. I feel the game is incomplete in its current state. edit: Also if you did not know, this game doesn't have multiplayer. It's so frustrating that the Relic trading stations reset whenever their corresponding outpost is taken by Legion. It just incentivizes you to get all 4 trading stations in one session, teleport back to the ark, and idle there for hours to farm money.

Not only do they take back the outpost you just cleared five seconds ago when returning to the Ark, they don't let you get back to the Ark in the first place. For serious though, my bigger issue outside of the Relic annoyance is the Cross coverage and "In aggro range of spawn points". Them refreshing so often in general means a steady influx of upgrade containers that doesn't required using the annoying global leader board contracts. It's how aggressive they are in stacking on top of eachother and giving you the runaround with Relic that's the main issue. Getting tired of breaking hate machines, watching explosive civilians still pop up right next to it's remains. And wonder "Okay... Are hate machines just bugged, or is this because there are two more of the loving things within 98 meters of here according to my mission list?". Meaning I just suck it up and let explosive civilians try to interrupt me when I'm going after fracking machines or other stuff because destroying hate machines, and only go after them if I feel like a quick chance at an upgrade core. I'm glad we have all these options for materials and upgrade cores. It's just overkill how much cross coverage they give eachother, between the obvious bugs, things leaving you wondering if it IS a bug (Dear drop pod launcher. Please stop giving yourself infinite reinforcements so I ignore you unless I brought a master hacker to just beefwall auto hack the console), and lost Relic cash. Yeah I've had missions bug out like that quite often, I had to restart from checkpoint to fix it. Also I had a bug today where my UI completely disappeared and I had to close and relaunch the game to fix it.

I wish Pierce had some commentary for the fact he's the one trucking along like a badass while Johnny "+20% crits shotgun headshots deals 95% trash mob health" Gat keeps eating pavement and it's no loving wonder he's got a legion tech a based around dropping a grenade when he dies. Speaking of frequent causes of enemy spike damage, it appears enemies either take little, or no damage, from their own AoE spam. Makes actually interrupting grenade tosses that much more lackluster. They take none. I was fighting a group on some bridge over on the beach, and interrupted a grenade throw. They all ticked for immune on that grenade damage. Also just had another bug where I got stuck in an infinite loading screen after taking a stronghold. Jesus loving christ, that's like 3 gamebreaking bugs in the span of an hour

I was reclaiming a relic point and nobody was spawning. So I quit it, kited a random Legion goon into range and started the relic pint again. Killed the goon and the mission got flagged as done. I can't tell if foot races despawn when you complete them (and get the skin) or what. Can you do the one race over and over to farm all the skins? They don't give high scores or anything so I can't tell if I've already done them or not if I come back to the game after a while... Until I start the race and realise I've done it before. I hope what I'm trying to say there is clear.

They are the ones where you just bubble the hostage and blow up the bomb so they are really quick and easy. My A-Team is Braddock, Oni and Hollywood. Rama's basic attack might be better than Oni's with good aim, but I like his special and mayhem abilities way more. Hollywood's spot is kind of up in the air, I don't think anyone else is near as good as Braddock and Oni. Game is pretty fun, my only complaint is the lair's are too samey and the story missions have you do way too many of them.

So the third Persephone history video gives a list of agents she recruited on top of the ones playable Doomsday (Luther Shelby); Crash Cart (Mason Cross); Socket (Olav Kasperon); Sable (Ilsa van Der Walt); Houston (Holly Tanaka); Coyote (Maddie Greyeyes); and Safeword (Kinzie Kensington). (Lazarus - the currently console exclusive preorder - was also there but her codename was Dynamo) So, future add-on content or just easter eggs?

I really wanted something like a Saints Row 5 w/writing quality, level design, goofs, etc. I'm enjoying this game but I think the only thing keeping me playing is the chance that there may be more Saint's Row plot tie-in - the rifts that scheherazade closes with that amulet, what's up with that? do they connect AoM directly to SR? what's up with oleg and pierce and persephone and Aisha? I guess I'm just thinking that there's more of a connection to SR than I initially thought. I really, really like the Saint's Row franchise and was willing to take the plunge here. I'm hoping that there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

If we do see DLC agents beyond Gat and Lazarus, I expect we'll get Kinzie. The AMA they did on Reddit showed that there was demand for her, and she was clearly already on their radar.
