I think though, despite the bugs, I'm still prepared to call the game Good although I think it depends on how you find the writing - I think it matches the tone of the later SR games (and is certainly more coherent than The Third) but it's doing its own thing.

Yeah Rama is Storm. IIRC here are all of them Hollywood = Iron Man Fortune = Star Lord apparently Hardtack = Luke Cage? Braddock = Cable Yeti = Panthro and Hulk and maybe Colossus Daisy = Wonder Woman and maybe Red She-Hulk Rama = Storm and Hawkeye Joule = Harley Quinn Red Card = ??? Just sticking my head in. Game is fun. Better than I was expecting. Gat lives in my squad permanently. In fact I see Gat and Daisy as mandatory and only the 3rd slot as optional. Don't think the game will have long legs but it's fun enough for a while. No regrets buying it but it makes me appreciate Saints Row 2 and 3 more. I really just want a Saints Row 2 remaster using modern graphics & interface

Given the average blue and yellow 90s X-Men outfit  And the "CABLE Layer" name on the gun makes it that much harder to click on that.

Saints Row 2 is fine as it is, clunky, glitchy and janky but it's all part of the charm. There's really no reason to go back to it since while the gameplay could use a fair amount of improvement mechanically, everything else is still perfectly fine. Now, a complete retelling of the original Saints Row in a new setting with new characters on the other hand... (considering everything I think this is actually the likely option, due to Kingpin's backstory they can't really set it in Stilwater with the same old gangs unless they create another timeline, or continue from SR4 for a different story but that has the serial escalation problem)

Braddock definitely has elements of Bishop in there with the eye/tattoo thing. Probably a blend of both if she has the metal arm too, but I haven't checked. I'm still sticking with my original stance on not really enjoying the open word that much. The amount of times a Golem spawns or an Ice Cannon or a Fracking device and then my screen get covered in explosions and then I have to clear them out while a sniper from a mile away pings me* for near enough all my health is just grating now. I'm thinking of just leaving it all and just doing base missions. Trouble with removing them though would be there'd be even LESS to do already. *Git gud would apply, but I've yet to even KNOW there's a sniper around before I suddenly loose all my shield and half my health. Their tracking lasers (which I'll admit I can't get the time down on) are always lost in the chaos of the aforementioned explosions.

I found some Franchise Force skins on Steam for the PC version. They were free, so I don't know if they're part of the pre-order or just free skins. Hollywood gets the outfit from his reality TV show. Hardtack gets a navy dress uniform. Fortune gets to be a steampunk pirate.

One thing I find annoying about the game is how miserly they are about handing out skins. They really should have made then an unlockable purchase instead of random chance.

This game is giving me some serious destiny vibes. There is some objectively bad and dumb poo poo but it's so fun to play it doesn't matter. I'm really enjoying the combat a few hours in.

Also, Fortune, Scherezhad, and Daisy are an awesome team. Between the three you get a hacker, armor-piercer, and two shieldbusters. Plus each of them plays so super differently that it keeps gameplay fresh and interesting/

Oni is really ridiculous with the Legion tech that gives his Intimidating Stare ability Disrupt. It really feels like at some point they either fired their sound guy or some severe sound bug and story guy because there is like 0 ambient sound and audio clips and stops ALL THE TIME and the story cutscenes will end abruptly.
