I know zero about racing, much less dirt racing, but I'm guessing that roll cage isn't exactly up to specs. Would love to see the video mentioned, but it's not linked anywhere.

Edit - Ok, for the love of god, someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. If I look at this post in IE, I see the images that should be here. But not so in Chrome or Firefox. :( Images are posted using the [ img ] url [ /img ] (without the spaces...) tags.

Yeah most browsers block insecure content on secure pages, and the forums have been HTTPS-only for awhile now. So whatever image host that was seems to have a busted or nonexistent SSL configuration.

Ok, yeah, that makes sense. Been hosting images off my own cheap-rear end, insecure system for years. :) Guess it's time to start using the usual image hosts. Anyway, sorry for the stupid derail, and thanks all for the info.

'71 is one of the good ones. A 302 might be kind of limp-dick in a big truck like that, though. See if you can get an F250 with the 390 :q:

I had a coworker a few years back who had a two-tone one with a 390 and glasspacks; pretty sure it was faster than my car in addition to obviously sounding better.

I worked directly with the Honda designers in Japan but did some of the structural and thermal analysis on it (in 'murica). It was a joint venture collab with GE but the engine was designed by Honda.

Yeah, I'll try to use fratzog in a sentence.

Friend of mine had a '68 Coronet in high school (this was probably back in '90 or so.) One of my favorite cars. And it is cool to see those hubcaps posted, because if I'm not mistaken they match the Bullitt Charger exactly.

They did on some. Mine had the fratzog logo steering wheel with 3 horn buttons, its a 72. The plastic didnt hold up well and i can find the wheel but not the horn pad part of it. Ill probably go with a horn ring style because it looks better anyways.

E: still cant fund one but searching fratzog returns tons more emblem goodies than i waa finding before.

I don't think there's such a thing as a 282. They made them in 272 and 292 displacements, and in '59 I think it was 292. Definitely was in '60 because I have one of those.

Cab corners look about like mine, too :v:

If you haven't seen it before, the exhaust setup is pretty neat, too. Out the front of the driver side manifold, around front, and into the front of the passenger side. Then a single pipe out of the back of the passenger side manifold. I assume it's like that so they can run a single exhaust the whole way, maybe even the same one for the V8 as the six.

I was wondering about that, did a double take the first time I saw it thinking it was a radiator hose at first glance. I'm headed near where that thing is this afternoon to pick up some stuff with my old-ish truck so I'm going to see if he's available for me to take a look at it. Don't want to inconvenience him much since I'm not really interested in buying it but I'd love to see it.

These are worth a pretty fair amount, aren't they?

There's a book printing company that shut its doors because the elderly owner died and his kids didn't want anything to do with it, so they're getting rid of everything cheap. A buddy of mine just spent $60 on about $600 worth of Craftsman Tools. They have (not yet listed) a '65 Lincoln Continental, lady says she'll list it at 5500. I'm gonna go there and see what kind of stuff they have.

Estate sales can be so awesome, at work we recently purchased a massive lot of collectibles and when I did some poking around I discovered there was an entire house worth of stuff that was divided into lots. One of my friends ended up getting a garage full of stuff for $2000 and there was so much useful poo poo in there. He picked over what he wanted and garage saled/craigslisted the rest and made almost his entire investment back. Too late we found out there were several cars that went for under a grand each.
