I am reminded of one of the Colosseum fights in Kenzan where the arena is really small, I ended up going up against the Sumo guy and he just instantly threw me out of the map  I never did another fight after that.

I'm not there yet, so not sure how this bowling with Majima thing works, but if you search through my posts I linked a bowling video for Yakuza 0 that still works in Kiwami. Use the lighter ball, move to the left side, hammer X to stop the aiming line as fast as possible and you have 90% chance of a strike.

Funnily enough, the next match after I posted that, I immediately had three strikes, and on his last three rolls he just immediately threw the ball into the gutter, it was pretty great.

Is there a way to trigger officer majima? I need to fight him to unlock a c rank skill and the only one I found so far beat me. Havent been able to find one since.

Finally won the Champion Cup. Turns out the heavy suspension and new bumper plate make a huge difference, and they've always been readily available at Ebisu Pawn Shop so I could've saved myself a lot of headache.  Probably still got lucky not flying off the track, though, because the test run didn't go particularly well.

As I keep playing I find rush mode of little use against anything other than bosses, very little forward movement and tracking compared to thug/beast. Is that how it's kinda meant to be or does it get better as you go down the skill tree?

I hate Rush mode but it's handy for any places where you can't afford to take hits (ie the colosseum) because you can dodge forever. But its damage and range is poo poo and you get virtually no chance for heat actions during the 0.2 seconds it ever stuns people for.

If you hit a single enemy long enough they enter dizzy state. It's just a full rush combo, dash cancel at the end, do 3 or 4 more hits and they're stunned and then you can do the Heat action that knocks them into nearby enemies.

Additionally it seems they changed the mechanics a bit between Zero and Kiwami. In Zero, I have only managed to make enemies dizzy maybe once ever, in Kiwami it happens all the time. One of the katana weapons you can get early also stuns everyone you hit it with, if you quickly put it away it's handy for Rush Heat moves.
