Look for a delay in tonight's show due to the football game being delayed for weather. They just went into half-time.

Fantastic. Football gets the gently caress the show when that's not even the normal time slot.

I think the US is dumb for not using Celsius
At least now we aren't completely hosed and it will be on Hulu tomorrow. Fox will have to find another way to gently caress this show, their old tactics aren't as effective.

As a digital watcher, I'm honestly curious how the Hulu numbers figure into it.

I like boring sports. I will sit and watch 3 straight hours of baseball and be entertained, but goddamn if American football isn't the most drawn out snooze-festy sport of them all. And at least baseball has the decency to be aired on cable sports networks for most of the season.

I'm gonna go to bat for football and say that a large portion of that "shots of players standing around" slice is showing the players lining up, which is actually a huge part of the game.

It moves to its Thursday slot this week, so football will no longer be an issue.

This is like complaining about chess because the pieces only move once every few minutes or so.

I actually liked the first episode and I'm no Star Trek fan by any stretch of the imagination (I haven't watched any Trek series regularly, only caught few episodes on TV back in the day). But enough that I get some weird nostalgic feeling watching this. I've been thinking of returning to DS-9/TNG and... Babylon 5 but I feel like the years have been a little too rough on them for me to bother, even if I'm a big sci-fi nerd.

I actually dreaded the humour part of the show but it hasn't been quite as grating as I feared, allthough some jokes in the first episode were way too forced. Might be the thirst for "proper space sci-fi" ala Star Trek/BSG/Expanse/whatever why I'm even giving this show a shot.

I was in the same position as you a few months ago, now I'm watching TNG all the way through, and what I'd recommend is watching only the good/important episodes.

Good episode IMO. I think this show has a chance to develop into something quite decent.

Edit: after putting up with 28 years of no loving superbowl ads, I'm glad Canada finally got something, anything to compensate. Hurray for watching a show 40 minutes sooner!
