Today it certainly looks like moving the plan up a couple of years would have been the right thing to do though.

Only time I know that head coach in waiting worked out was Bobby and Jimbo.

Try making it sometime. It's not hard and even if you don't do it right the 1st time it still tastes delicious, just comes out a little mushy.

It's in the five-hole!

You just have to apply relative Bradford standards, for him being a firm sneeze away from a 6 week absence is pretty fine, not bad at all; he's Schrodinger's Quarterback.

The NFL's continuing violence against women problem:

PFT posted:

The team insists that QB Andy Dalton is safe. But the feeling within the locker room, we're told, is that the leash isn't quite so long, and that if the struggles continue under new OC Bill Lazor, the next one to go could be Dalton.

This means that AJ McCarron would take over, if Dalton is indeed benched. But there's a feeling among some of the players that the Bengals should go off the board and consider bringing in Colin Kaepernick.

The only questionable thing there is the Kaep thing

Let's face it, you're fooling yourself if you think the OC thing 1) solves anything and 2) is the only move. At least one of Dalton/Marvin is done with the team by year's end. The bad play and lack of success was only ever getting excused with playoff appearances. Now that they're not capable of even that, exits are coming.

Benching Dalton and starting McCarron is going to solve even less. But it'd probably feel good to do so.

Marvin's almost certainly gone after this season. He looks like a guy who's about to pack it in and whatever message he had for the players on that roster isn't getting through anymore. Cinci still has talent on their roster so I could see them getting to the playoffs with a different coaching staff and a revamped line next year.

That o-line needs at least two new starters and maybe four. the only guy there who deserves to keep a job into next season is Clint Boling.
