Phenix Rising posted:Can you paste the details? I'm interested in them but want to avoid the 9,000 pop ups from PWInsider on my phone. NWA On Demand streaming service shutting down (by-product of Corgan's buying Tharpe's interest in the Paul Boesch Houston territory library. Library ownership stays with the Boesch family but Corgan will have ability to control the library going forward) All member promotions with licenses to use the NWA initials and branding under the company's Bruce Tharpe ownership end the day before. Going forward as of 10/1, the NWA will be whatever Corgan and Lagana lead it to be Current champ Tim Storm appeared at last night's Championship Wrestling Hollywood taping and teased a feud with Nick Aldis (aka Magnus from TNA)

Super No Vacancy posted:this is the worst lede of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a quote from Billy Corgan from some article a while ago that was posted in the TNA thread where he tries to explain what his idea of what "a reformation of the way in which wrestling is viewed" means quote:Corgan believes his ideas will "break new ground." In 2015, he said, "Those social and cultural issues that are sort of a "don't go there subject" will result in themes that will feel more meaningful to current audiences. "I think there's an endless supply of things in our culture where people are dealing with race or with gender, etc., and you can get into these things in a way that is both revelatory and enlightening. Treated the right way, ultimately, the good guy wins. The right ideas win." I stand by my post from that thread that it sounds like he's talking about Scientology

lovin this little scene-setting paragraphquote:Vince McMahon clearly has a plan of where he wants to bring WWE, with a yearly benchmark at WrestleMania. Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff has also developed concrete goals. Anthem Executive Vice President Ed Nordholm, who oversees Impact Wrestling, admitted that his company did not have a plan upon its purchase, which has continued to lose money over the past 12 months.

dave lagana did a 3hr interview on the last wrestlenomics radio about the nwa, branding, digital marketing etc... and basically said they want to start small and have a laser focus on exactly what nwa is/means and they get nothing out of having a bunch of satellite feds and it actively dilutes the kind of "brand building" they're after if you can tolerate the language of ted talks and nu-media it's a solid interview. The 20 Year Plan is real
