Joe Derosa?

My favorite Derosa story is bill burr's where joe pulls him aside after getting brutally roasted at the cellar for his sweater and demands bill apologize and never roast him again. Then of course he moves to LA and plays the part of the east coast merciless insult comic.

that about sums him up I believe. the first time I heard of him was when Ant, Artie, and Jim did some sort of live show Matarese does and basically spent the whole time roasting him, resulting in him getting pissy and attracting the attention of the O&A subreddit.

He did Ant's show a bunch when it was just Ant. He's not an unfunny guy, but he's a family man who I guess is jealous of the success of Jim, Artie, and for some reason Anthony, and neurotic enough to let them see it time and again. Its apparently led to a bunch of people loving with him online especially over his podcast.

Mine is when Joe got annoyed at Troy mocking him on air and saying he wasn't funny because it was a threat to Joe's "livelihood" to have a non-comic roasting him. Think it was back in early Opie and Jim days and he never came back on again.

It must have been a while before that, Troy was banned from the air before O&A ended. Something about Troy taking a date to Joe's show and being embarrassed at how bad it was.

Didn't that whole thing involve Joe's terrible KKTITN tattoo as well?

the one time derosa was good (and v relatable) was when he became insanely obsessed with bailey jay, then iirc eventually met her on bobby's podcast and lost his mind

Not ashamed to say I like Derosa. Saw him open for Patton Oswalt a couple years back and laughed my rear end off. Always thought him and Ant had good chemistry. Ah poo poo Ant has good chemistry with everyone, if only he could use his powers for good.

Not a fan of Derosa but I wouldn't say he's bad. Just nothing to him.

The only comic I don't get the love for is Kindler. I've never seen him ever be funny.

I think Derosa's newfound best friendship with Kurt Braunholer is adorable, though I haven't listened to their podcast at all, just them coming on Faction Talk shows.

He's been around forever, bombing has become his thing (aka being a 'comedian's comedian'), and he does some dumb 'state of the industry' thing at some comedy festival, which is just him complaining about newer comedians and not getting any work.

I think you guys are missing the point with Kindler. The dude is Larry David rich with Everybody loves Raymond money and has lots of connections at the networks from that success. Comedians kiss up to him because he can make their careers happen.

It's funny because Jim says he loves working with Sam and they have different chemistry but they talk like two coworkers who aren't that interested in each other and Sam brings nothing to the table.

If you listen to Norton on Rogan's podcast from this month he goes on and on about how great Ant is and how much he misses him. There's no reason for Sirius to extend the show for the salary Jim has.

The funniest moments of O&A by far were Ant & Jim having their little riff sessions between Opie "directing the show", it was almost like sitting next to two hilarious kids at a school assembly and they're riffing while the Principal blathers.
