A big cruiser, clowning on the orville crew, high fiving each other and just acting like king poo poo jocks of the union fleet.

I'd rather see them just bumming around when The Orville gets to one of those vacation planets. Just hanging out in the background, no attention called to them. But, Seth loves (And, why shouldn't he?) Patrick Stewart. So he'll probably be something fun, or important. Maybe another ship, but all the roles swapped around. LaVar is the captain, Stewart is Q, Frakes is Troi, Wil Wheaton is the Data, Sirtis is the Worf. Ect. I'm still not 100% on the show. It does a lot of little things right. I kind of felt some of the stuff they intend to be dramatic gets cut off at the knees by a joke. It's better than I was expecting. As much as I like Norm MacDonald, I hope they find something more entertaining for his character than just the same joke over and over.

Though thinking back his appearance in episode 3 was actually on theme. He is essentially a genderless species who nonetheless chooses to represent himself as male, in a toxic way and views a qualified woman as an object for his amusement. That contrasts against the (nearly) genderless species that forces their population to be male and views womanhood as a disability.

So I could have sworn that Bortus boyfriend was the Klingon Lawyer from DS9 but it turns out it's Cutty from The Wire who I can't believe I didn't recognize, however that led me to finding out that Ron Canada, aka the Klingon Lawyer, will appear later on in the season as an Admiral.

I want them to do a World War 2 simulation on the holodeck and have Scott Grimes be wearing a patch that says "Malarkey" on it. Like when Richard Speight wore a "Muck" nametag on Jericho. Edit: Just discovered that the real-life Malarkey just died at the end of last month at age 96.
