Well, how do you come up with a better name than that?

Welcome back to the Liturgigoon thread, friend.
Yeah, this wasn't a terribly funny episode, felt like just a big fat exposition dump, but kind of necessary to move the story to the next phase. A necessary evil, if you will. I'm ok with it, even though I'm a little, just slightly, disappointed.

As if the fact that I've been posting here for 16 years wasn't proof enough.

Finally got to see the part that I missed, totally worth the wait. I wonder how far apart the four characters died time-wise? Tahani at least had to have died after Eleanor, since the one episode with Eleanor's flashback showed that magazine with her on the cover and didn't look like it was about her being dead.

I liked how casual Eleanor was about Janet for once. Just "Yo, Janet, give Jason something shiny so the adults can talk"

And D'Arcy Carden rubbing her tummy and patting her head to show how advanced she was was great. I'm also always a big fan of self-absorbed characters legitimately trying to be nice/good and still their ego bleeds in, so a lot of Jameela Jamil's lines work for me. Especially "We should all stay and work together to build a better Tahani!"

I also like how Eleanor's turn was basically around returning Chidi's kindness. And Janet's line in the group huddle was pretty fascinating in showing how she's creatively interpreting her 'programming' now, much like how she reworded Jason's question in the premiere to let her take him to the other 3.

Interesting how Mindy seems to have not changed in all that time. Also given that the 30 years Mindy had been in the Medium Place in the first season corresponded with her dying in the 1980s I wonder if that means on Earth it is now the late 23rd century.

What was the deal with Eleanor saying "son of a bitch" when Michael revealed the stairs at the beginning? I thought maybe it was some subtle joke about how now that they've teamed up with Michael, he's turned off the Good Place Language Filter for them, but then later on in the episode she's dropping "forks" left and right.
