I've been really into this since finding it a few days ago. I love the whole heavy metal/prog but not obnoxious/trad doom combo. Until then I hadn't heard a band besides Pallbearer doing it really well. Like, poo poo like Conan is awesome. Drop F# riffs that sound like the earth is melting, etc gently caress yeah, but bands like Spirit Adrift make me realize it's all about the mournful melodies and atmospheres.
