I make rye bread regularly, and the recipe I use adds a spoonful of treacle, though a lot of American recipes add honey instead. The sweetness balances the tangy rye flavour. It's one of those breads that's good with either sweet or savory toppings. A lot of store bought rye has a more sour taste as it has to keep on the shelf longer, so I can see why that is less appealing with sweet flavours.

We are getting more into bread baking but have not found a rye we both like and slices well for sandwiches.

Fiery Hot Cheetos have always been more just "tangy" to me. I like them more than the normal ones but they are still crap compared to proper spicy snacks.

Of course I'm biased since I prefer the XXX Flamin' Hot which would probably kill someone with zero spice tolerance.

When we went to the CNE this year I had a bacon cheeseburger where the buns had been replaced by hash browns. It was messy and greasy as gently caress but hoooooooly poo poo, would again so hard.
