I doubt anything is going to happen to Humble Bundle except maybe the occasional Humble EXTREME MOUNTAIN DEW DORITOS Bundle.

The White Dragon posted:after four years of this in the game dev thread they've realized it's easier just to say "ok cool" and watch my poo poo pyramid slowly evolve into something built on a pyramid of poo poo rather than protesting "but fundamentals" Yeah, I don't know why any coders give a poo poo about someone's source for a game that runs and people are buying. All code is going to look like poo poo to someone somewhere, no matter how elegant you think it is. And if the end product is working fine, why do people care? OCD, I'm guessing.

But it could be an entry into one of those 640kb game competitions!!!! Also, idk if anybody is interested but if they still have borderlands 1&2 keys around, i'd be will to trade a uplay stick of truth and/or shellshock live (pocket tanks) steam gift for one or both!

Some questions about Homefront: Revolution? I know it's not supposed to be godawful, but how's the gunplay and exploration? Urban Far Cry or are there better options? Some weird guns or is it standard pistol/shotgun/mg/rockets loadout? Also, very important: does it have ragdolls?

The shooting felt good, it's like Red Faction Guerilla in that, at least early on, you won't win a standup gunfight so you have to hit and run. I liked it.

Kingdom-New Lands is the star deal today. Looks kind of like a 16bit craft the world. Anyone have feedback on it?

It's kind of a chill artistic experience in the woods, kind of a tower defense/resource management against increasingly difficult waves of enemies, kind of a game where you really become a legendary queen or king. It's really atmospheric and good and absolutely worth the price.

It had a mode that was fun as hell where a Bullet Time device would spawn randomly in the map and the team that captured it would get a few seconds of bullet time while the other team watched their game move at 1/10 speed. The Specialists (a Matrix-/John Woo-inspired HL1 mod) had slow-mo in multiplayer, but it was somehow localized like a bubble of slow-mo. Still not sure exactly how they implemented that and kept it balanced. loving savage

Agents of Mayhem is weird. Not even bad - I'm having fun! - just weird. I can see why it didn't take off, since it's a bit of a clusterfuck of overlapping mechanics and the open world is the worst part of it. I actually haven't minded the writing (at least in terms of banter) all that much, but Hollywood is definitely the worst character so it's a shame he's so prominent in the early game. And it's a shame it'll probably never get followed up on, because underneath all the clunky elements there's something genuinely good. When it's firing on all cylinders, third person shooter + Diablo 3's rune system + Darkspore's character switching actually works pretty well. I felt the same. It's really not a bad game, it's just overshadowed by like 30 other titles this year. No need to tolerate the jank with so many quality titles out there.

Its fantastic how it was implemented and the game is a few years older than FEAR, being a half life mod I played in high school with my friends MP3 slowed down anyone the user could see. In the 2 months before the MP turned to botted-to-hell garbage, I used to go up high and use it to debuff most of the enemy team. God, that game had amazing multiplayer that got wrecked by a lovely community E:also, The Matrix Online was also a house fire. It had great potential but never came close to nailing it.

Are you kidding me? Shadow of War's dumb experience boost lasts for 2 real-time hours instead of in-game time. At least I received mine for free from some crate rewarded after completing an online vendetta, but that rubs me the wrong way.

It's your OCD making you post it. His code works fine and is in a game for sale. That's far better code than almost every programmer on the planet who just tinkers with it all day and never publishes a drat thing.
